Pingpong64
Today I sold my Gen 7 Celica after just 6 months difficult ownership. The car was sold with a checkover done by a reputable garage in Milton Keynes (passed with no faults) and the keys will be handed over on Sunday to a lovely lady who simply loves Celica's. It is sold with no regrets though, just wasn't the car for me, but it was important it was sold without faults. Its been a long old ride!! I would like to put it "in writing" to say thank you to all those who supported and encouraged me when going through those extremely difficult times with Toyota Sims in Northampton. Everything has now been resolved and its been fantastic to receive the help from a brilliant forum such as this. Its unlikely I will be back so I would like to wish you all very well for the future and happy Celica motoring.
geraintthomas
Just because you don't have a Celica doesn't mean you don't belong part of the club! Stick around, don't be a stranger

Old Red Celica
You don't have to leave, even if you just loiter in Off Topic or CD. I'm glad we've helped a little bit in resolving your handling problems, if nothing else it's confirmed that the car itself was not at fault but the actions of outside forces (ie someone fitting the wrong wheels). thank you for taking the effort to write those nice comments, you could have just turned your back on us and never posted again. hopefully you'll spread the good words about the club to the new owner

I informed her of the problems I had with the wheels so she is up to date with that. I will be leaving the forum stickers on the car and will mention it to her on Sunday. Hope the experience with those cowboys doesnt put you off in the future from buying another Its the one outstanding bitter experience from all this, their attitude is out of order. I wrote a letter of complaint to the general manager there, not even a reply of acknowledgement. Nothing. Thing is, I could do a lot of harm to their reputation as a Toyota franchise if I was that sort of person. Particularly on a forum like this. Did I mention it was Toyota Sims of Northampton??? ;-) Time to move on though, but i will come back and see whats happening on occasions. Thanks to all once again for the warm welcome and fantastic support.
