tom-coupe Posted June 7, 2012 Report Share Posted June 7, 2012 iv posted a couple of pictures of my new wheels and now i need some wheel nuts. i have the tuner style ones that are tapered but when i fitted the wheel the other day before the refurb it just didn't seem to tighten properly am i using the correct nuts. another picture of the wheel just incase you haven't seen it. rpsmith79 Posted June 8, 2012 Report Share Posted June 8, 2012 Do the holes have a taper, if so then yes the tapered nuts should be fine They might feel odd due to the fresh refurb and the layer of paint/powdercoat that needs to be worn away to get decent metal to metal contact with the nut It is always recommended to re-torque your nuts in a few days after fitting newly refurbed wheels due to this exact problem Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
