  5. dunno... 'enter at own risk' on the passenger door would be quite cool imo
  6. anything wrong with using universal jobbies? bit more wallet friendly than £100+... have used them before and experienced no down sides.
  7. Mmmm... shame - was thinking about refurbing and bushing the subframe from my 'spare' car but sounds like a pita.
  8. quick Q... is it poss to remove the subframe without dropping the engine? also have you looked at the kits that TCB offer?
  9. Not overly difficult just takes some time... Think there was a thread posted up with scans from the workshop manual the other day. There you go
  10. good stuff... dvla have f'ed up my license application so looks like you would have been waiting on me a while anyways
  11. this is amusing... everyone is effectively saying the same things and still arguing!
  12. Was that the polymer coating? Haven't sent the email off yet been tb testing cows in the rain all day. Joy! However have managed to get the pistons out of the knackered caliper using their process guide so may just do it myself now.
  13. Cant see any prices for a refurb and paint - only the polymer coating @ £159 a pair... bit steep for me. Ill fire off an email in the morning and report back.
  14. Mmmm... looking at bigg red site im thinking about just sending all four calipers off to them for a refurb. Pricing up two sets of refurb kits at ~£60 for both axles, 4 new sets of sliding pins/bolts at ~£11 a caliper, bleed screws at £9 for 4. That totals almost £120 in parts alone. Then have the faff of cleaning, prepping, painting and then the actual work of refitting all the seals. Anyone had calipers done by them? Idea on prices? Only trouble is they would come back silver or gold instead of black but such is life.
  15. thats good news. am in the middle of refurbing the twin pots i got off AMS... to be honest one of them is in particularly bad shape. i took the seals off the pistons today and there is all sorts of rust and crap in there - so much for plug and play!! have a litre of black gloss hammerite here so all's well
  16. Or do I need a vht equivalent? That is all - ta
  17. I too have a japanese sticker on the back of my gen6... Would love to know what it means.
