BenP1977
Hi I need to steam clean leaked power steering fluid from the bottom of and up into my engine. Is it just as simple as getting the front up on axle stands and steaming away? Can I do the engine from the top too? Thanks Ben
ams
Just avoid the top if you can, cover the dizzy and ecu, avoid getting down plug holes. Use "gunk" degreaser first.
shaungt4
As above and avoid the main electrics . Worth spending a bit of time wraping them with plastic rather then having to dry them out
Fat tony
Plastic bags, electric tape and a bit of wd40 to protect the electrics. Gunk is your friend, take your time and check everything twice

Sherv
I also found cling film was good at wrapping around electrical plugs/connectors to keep water out.Just have to be selective and careful where you spray mate.
johndps
Ok, I am gonna disagree with the Gunk thjing. It does the job, but stinks. Stays stinky for days. Traffic film remover (TFR) does the job as good with next to no smell. If you have a lot of grime, spray on degreaser, plenty out there and cheap.
