Headlight Vibrating - Gen 5

Hi all,

 

My front right headlight is vibrating hard when popped up on my Gen 5 GT4.

 

I’ve had a look around but nothing obvious.

 

Any idea’s please?

Is it a wobbly light unit or is it a wobbly lamp (bulb)

Maybe worn lift motor if the whole lot wobbles, or if its the Headlight unit (glass bit, might be worth removing it. Check that all the screws are holding the surround in. I think it's just 4 screws holding the chrome surround/retainer.

its the entire unit vibrating, not just glass.

 

Anyone selling a lift motor?

If it's bouncing up and down, check the rod that connects the motor to the headlight, both ends have plastic fittings which might be worn.

There looks to be a bit of play in that rod, compared to the other side. Now the search begins to source one
