Dave_t
Guys, wondering if the oem headunit in the Gen7 GT, which is a double din with integrated 6cd changer, is able to run an aux lead add on?I have done this on a couple of my previous cars with the oem headunit. SKINY
if its the Sony one it will but you will have to plug the adapter into the changer bus socket.
Cravo
Not the Sony one in the GT mate. Standard Toyota one.
Dave_t
Correct-standard Toyota. Yeah that's how I did it in my old Mini Cooper S, and out Renaultsport Megane, plugged into the CD changer socket. Being as this headunit had a built in 6-CD changer, I doubt there is a port for another external changer, so an Aux may not be possible but thought I'd ask if you guys have managed it
rich_p
I think Gerraint had managed to do it in his Celica's before he upgraded to an after market unit. The Connects2 brand springs to mind.
Gogz_
Pretty sure the GT doesn't have the CD changer port required to do this.
trophytr5
I had a Parrot fitted n my GT. There is now a connector in the cubbyhole with USB, line-in and 30 pin iPod connectors. The installation instructionsprovide for either line-in or ISO connectors to connect the Parrot to the rear of the head unit. So it can be done I recall a thread on whether the stock head unit has an ISO connector or whether you need an adaptor but you can search for it a well as I can. Good luck
