  1. Which ever route you choose it seems you will end up picking your bed and shitting it. Your too indecisive and asking all of us we all have too different of an opinion, and its clouding the water, we can spend you money for you easy just decide to buy any jap pos then somebody will tell you what a silly billy you have been and you will change your mind again. I say your next car is open to a poll........ :xmas_laugh:
  2. Project engine, buy it for pennies drop it in yours. Fensport are running 199bhp out of their 202 with a few head mods. Handling is where you can transform the car, polybush, upgraded anitroll bars, strut braces front and back, good quality adjustable coilovers , and some good tyres :xmas_cool: I think the DC5 is a great car but they seem overpriced or atleast the DC2's are.
  3. Its all a matter of opinions of course but if opinions count for anything I think you have one of the nicest looking gen6's on here, its the best colour for a start has all the right mods and is a great example of a well looked after 6, sure put it up for sale and somebody will take it off your hands no problem. Will you be as happy with a 7? who knows. They are not built as solid as the 6 thats for sure and with age catching them up the crack are starting to appear it seems to me. What are you looking for, reliability and economy or performance and looks? You cannot have one without compromising the other.
  4. The never ending debate is deep rooted within this thread.
  5. I have used one of mooks on both my Gen 6's, mine are both 85% full size so a little smaller than standard. Never had a problem with mine passed mot's and inspections fine, although as far as I am aware since about 2007 stick on number plates are illegal on anything other than older tax exempt cars? Its a grey area though, but I always have my standard UK size plate in the boot.
  6. I pay 10 a corner, balanced. Its an extra 3 to dispose of the casing, its free at the tip.
  7. As long as it's not an unmanageable loan for you then yeah go for it. Like people say you only live once, just keep a contingency fund aside for worst case scenario. There will always be somebody faster true but your not aiming for the fastest car on the road are you? but with GT4 your probably up there with the top 15% anyway so you do not have nothing to prove to anybody.
  8. I loved my GT as much as you, most people said I was crazy selling it only one of my close friends was encouraging so that's the only person I listened to because deep down its what i wanted. So i will say the same for you because it seems like your stuck between a rock and a hard place. Buy a GT4, you know you want to, thers no better feeling than getting the edge over on your mates r33gtst.
  9. Chains are good if you are stuck or in heavy snow but like people say as soon as you hit a clearing you need to take them off. I bought a couple of snow tyres for my 15"'s on my daily drive, worked out around £60 per tyre, just for the fronts to get me out the shit.
  10. There's fun to be had in the four in the snow.
  11. I always thought my GT held well considering its age and mileage.
  12. Great vids, and pics. I did an unexpected drift off an island this afternoon and had the exact same reaction as you
  13. Boost is great admittedly, but the thing i have learnt is even if you do not buy an out and out lemon, a 15 year old car with boost will definitely have some citrus y undertones.
  14. I usually cover 50 miles over the weekend in the car. Sometimes alot less/more depends what needs adjusting
  15. I always leave the old pads and discs on and use a lever between the two to push the piston back.
  16. x2 on the running around to his wing mirror with my foot.
  17. I rounded the sump nut on my van simply because it was impossible to access on the floor. Took it to the garage around the corner, once on the ramps it came off no problem, might be the angle your working at.
  18. I am having the same trouble with my car as its still unsold, and the new car i had to swapp over onto my existing policy (also with AF) so currently it is on a temp insurance costing £90 a month to just sit there unused, while the GT4 costing an additional £200 to put on my existing insurance to run untill Sep, is sitting in a garage 75 miles away waiting to be fixed is also unused. So i would not recommend AF.
  19. Do you have a flat/ under inflated tyre on the back?
  20. Take it back and get it adjusted. You can buy a polybush gear linkage kit for the gen 6 you may be able to get one for the 7, its not an expensive or hard job to do.
  21. Decathlon sell those self assemble quenchacha "white devil" tents for a good price.
  22. My mate was talking about doing this to his car.
  23. IMO you should be allowed to stick whatever you want, infact you should sticker bomb the whole tailgate in v tec this stickers to make your point, . I think i would like the sticker more if it did not have the vtec this text, then you can flip everybody off eeee.
  24. Has anybody used this stuff in a diesel? I have a diesel which smokes like a bitch, which i put down to injector and coked up egr/ inlet manifold. If this stuff is as good as people say it shall be interesting to find out.
