  1. Keep the rotas, like everybody says in bronze on your car they will look
  2. Ohh man there is some Astra bashing going on in this thread..
  3. When the clutch went on my GT I went to a clutch/gearbox specialist and they supplied and fitted for around £250 I think it was. Although mine started slipping on a Sunday night and was un-drivable by the following weekend.
  4. You will be lucky if it lasts a few months mate.
  5. It does look really nice, if you like it that much then keep it. If money was no issue I would keep my car forever and build it from the bottom up. On the other hand you can get a fair choice of car for 11k if you want 4WD and power you could buy a 500bhp evo VII with that.
  6. The first cover I bought was a single layer and I found it leaked and trapped water in between, (dirty water) so it was pretty pointless in keeping it covered in the first place. The wind ripped it off and it was binned. The double layered has stayed waterproof after 9 months of use, I tied loops into the material to tie it to all four wheels otherwise it will blow away in heavy wind. The other problem i found was on the gt4 after a good run i have to leave it to cool down if i put the cover on otherwise the heat from the bonnet vent will melt the fabric. Mine is just a large cover not model specific and it fits fine when i fold the mirrors in, other thing to watch for is if you have an alarm with proxy sensors it can set them off, so I just disable mine when the covers on.
  7. Yea I remember that, would be interesting to find out how that project ended.
  8. I took my winter tyres off the van a few weeks ago and it handled like a pile of ass this morning.
  9. I use a full car cover on mine during the week as I only use it weekends. I think my last one was an ebay special but paid about £50-£60 double layers are the best as its waterproof and soft inner lining so it will not scratch the paintwork. I had a cheap one before that and it froze to the car during winter and tore, don't know about half car covers tbh
  10. Red car with white wheels gets my vote. I also had some gloss black pro race 1.2 that looked hot on a red car.
  11. I like all of them but prefer the torque, but then again that's coming from a bloke that has copied Rays TE37's.
  12. Are they after market wheels? Could need spigot rings, be buckled or need re balancing.
  13. Yeah they are not auto level or projector lens (unless you have projectors.) I prefer yellowy headlights.
  14. Thanks for the heads up, been looking to get some decent replacements for the HID's.
  15. That's what I used to hate about the GT and a loud exhaust, everybody knew I was trying and had the satisfaction of saying they "had" me *shudders.*
  16. I followed a gritter for about 10 mins this morning in the van and when I got home it looked like somebody had jizzed all over the back and sides, white salt all over. but, i have a perfect solution to your salty airbox, nice shot of tequila and a slice of lime.
  17. I had some hankooks on my last car, they seemed to handle great in the dry, well worth the money. Cannot tell you how well wearing they are as the car was toeing in unknowing to me and I wore them bald in 6 months.
  18. Happy Anniversary c_jnz!

  19. How fast to these things spin? I have a orbital festool that I bought special polishing pads for but its not the tool for the job its more of a sander.. I have two 4" angle grinders are there any adapters to fit or is that a bit pikey
  20. What they failed to mention about the Impreza was its flat 4 sounds like an elephants prostate check-up.
  21. GT4, ecu and map it. You will see a lot more mpg, find a late spec import and your sorted.
