  1. Euro Car Parts have Pagid - 'remanufactured' rear callipers for 2001 Gen 7 for £89.40 plus a £30 trade-in exchange allowance for your old calliper which brings the price down to £59.40 * They need the exchange unit to be in serviceable condition - without the linkages broken When i exchanged mine earlier this year they came with new nipples, slider kit & rubbers, all i had to buy was new brake pads. You have a local ECP in Colchester: Unit 19A & B, The Westside Centre, London Road Stanway Essex CO3 8PH
  2. Thanks for replies, guys. Have emailed them to amend my appointment to full geo & coilover set up. It looks like: Haweka BD Perfromance in Wrexham: http://www.bdperformance.co.uk They sell various makes of coilover to include BC Racing, i'm pretty sure they'll understand what it needs to get it sorted. They are only 20 miles up the road from me, i'm really looking forward to going next Friday Debs
  3. Thanks for that, ...is full geo set up the same as 4 wheel alignment? There is time for me to phone them up tomorrow and cancel the corner weighting job on Friday.
  4. Next Friday my Gen7 is booked into a performance specialist for: 4 wheel alignment [Full Geo Set-up] & coilover set-up plus corner weighting. However, i'm getting second thoughts on the corner weighting, apparently it's time consuming so costly per hourly rate, and i don't intend to track or race ever, just normal ~ brisk road use. but is it still worth doing just the once to set up my recently fitted coilovers? BC Racing [bR type] fitted 3 months ago Thanks for any advice Debs [ Edit: service amended to not bother with corner weighting ]
  5. At least being red it don't show the blood staines....
  6. Something i've wondered ever since i've owned my Celi.... Is the bleeper an audio warning for the driver inside the car? Or can it be heard outside to warn people of a reversing car? Or to put it another way; can the bleep be heard outside the car, or is it just an interior sound effect? I have to ask this because i've never been outside my car while reversing it, not yet anyway.
  7. I would think the depreciation is all done now with your GT and if anything it's value may rise if you give it the TLC, and while it gains more classic status. A GT86 is a fab car no doubt but any particular buying price now is bound to depreciate by many more thousands.... Also, i've heard reports from 2 different mechanics that GT86s go just as dreadfully rusty underside as Gen7s, seems as if Toyota care nought about anti-corrosion for the UK market. just my 2 cents worth : ) Debs
  8. Is it a couple of big bones for the dog? Debs

  11. Just arrived with todays post: eBay - Meguiars 198ml Scratch X20 includes 5 free microfibre cloths ...£11.10 to include UK delivery http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Meguiars-198ml-Scratch-X2-0-Includes-5-Free-Microfibre-Cloths-/171789098557?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27ff6d9e3d Seems like a good deal to me, can always use a few more microfibre cloths, the 198ml size bottle that came is actually the 'regular' 207ml size, plus they've sent me 6 free cloths not 5 But i'm not complaining! Debs
  12. Darren did a top job with my centre caps: send him a request message with what size you need and your choice of design: darrenharding59@hotmail.com http://www.locking-vinyl.co.uk/contact-us [ He's often very busy and can sometimes take some time to reply ]
  13. Loading up the boot with a big heavy box of goodies that's just arrived from *BESTY* at GT4-Play Just need to whistle up my mechanic to do the full BC Coilover suspension re-fit job Debs
  14. Just arrived in this mornings post via Amazon uk [other seller] I only bought the one towel, not the whole boxful ....£3.55 to include delivery
  15. Yeah, Unibond Extreme is a bit dubious so i'll not bother with that one. My caps have a outer recess that needs something in to hold the outer edge of the new sticker, and stop water and muck getting in. i could try using copydex, which would be harmless to the plastic caps and stickers but dunno how it would cope with longevity. Edit : yes you're right, i've just stuck them strait on [without any glue] and they look fine.
  16. I've already prised the old centre caps off. The new ones are sticky backed but i would think they could do with a additional outer-ring of resin or strong waterproof glue around the edge to seal them on proper. I have a little tube of Unibond Extreme Power Glue - "a tough bond that resists shocks, impact, water, extreme temperature conditions ( -50c to 120c )" It says it's suitable for plastics ( except PE, PP, PTFE ) ...so i'm not sure now
  17. Update: Re-emailed Darren and he replied, yes he is very busy but probably in demand for good workmanship, or maybe he's out there with his surf-board - which is what i'd be doing this time of year in Cornwall Darren of 'Vinyl Locking' has produced and dispatched my centre caps, and they arrived in this mornings post, and i'm really pleased with them Just need to work out the best way to stick them on the plastic caps - so the edges won't lift when i wash the car, all good suggestions welcome! Debs
  18. Just arrived from GT4-PLAY Feel the quality... the BC Coilovers are to follow soon, ...i'm getting very excited about the refit! And don't worry: that long drop-link really is perfectly strait, it's just my wide-angle lens giving it a flex
  19. Mitt & scratch-sheild just arrived from 'monsterdetail' eBay for 13 quid All i need now is a big black cheapo bucket from Tesco, and i've have my [3rd] bucket kit for dedicated wheel cleaning  Debs
  20. 12pcs Magic Cleaning Sponge Pads! Purchased via Amazon [ other seller: highqualityforyou ] ...£1.97 + free UK delivery Takes a couple of weeks to arrive from China but very useful and good value for money. Now i can get on and clean those leather seats! Debs
  21. I emailed Darren on Monday but no reply yet. Is he on his Hols? Is it the correct addy? Debs
  22. Just the domed badge itself: 52mm diameter The plastic caps are small, on the flip-side the barbed prongs that hold the cap in the hole have a diameter of about 45mm, can't see new ones for sale anywhere. Your dragon badge in the steering wheel picy looks bigger than 44mm, you must have a very small steering wheel, looks very nice though
  23. After a very expensive refurb job on my 12 spoke premiums wheels, i still haven't replaced my manky old centre caps. Although i have removed the center caps and my new wheels look rather odd without them. This is a before shot btw... I really do like Foogles Celica dragon steering wheel centre, which has gives rise to the simple idea of a Celica dragon on wheel centres. This sort of badge could be used as a generic patten for any standard Gen wheel, allowing for differing colours variations. For my Red Edition, a red dragon with black border on metallic silver background. I think this would give a traditional elegance, and look far classier than the original red or blue Edition sketch outline that imo looks scruffy and cartoonish. Looks like Darren is about to get some orders in Debs
