  1. Hey Debs.... thanks for replying...Love the way people step up on this site...this car is new to me...35.5k miles so I don't think the engine mount will be worn and I know it aint been lowered because after this problem is sorted lowering along with spacers is my first mod.. I will check the camber arm bolts yes once I suss which they are ..not familiar with the setup yet...I go to Toyota for a free 15 min diagnostic mon' , see what they find , if it needs tracking should they be too pricey I spoke to another guy at prestige motors who use hunter laser tracking , they said they will help me...Craigz also replied and said he went to town on his Gen7 spent loads  as he had same problem , I the end it was bearings !!! poor guy...and mine whirr a bit so defo gonna focus on those too...

      Hello Lee,

just my 2 cents worth but:

the 15min diagnostic at the local Toyota garage is fine if free,

....but IME those places don't really have their heart cut out to fix old bangers, they like to sell brand new cars and do simply oil change services, fill the windscreen wash, empty the ash tray, and stamp the warranty book. They are also very expensive for labour charge, so please be careful in there!

On the other hand,  at the other place: the Hunter laser tracking system is the business, well worth paying them guys for the trouble to set it up properly.

I've had mine done locally here with a Hunter and very happy with the results:

That good looking young lad under my car is Micky, he was very impressed by the general condition under there - after recent sub-chassis changes and well greased up camber bolts.

However i'm also very lucky to have a very friendly & local independent Japanese car specialist in town, and he looks after my Celica like it's his own.

I'd advise you to also find a good independent garage who are Toyota or Japanese car friendly, they'll have far more time for you, be better at diagnostics, and cost loads less.

Sheffield is a big place; so ask on the forum for recommended garages near to where you are, there must be someone good nearby! : )

It sounds like you need to get your car up on a ramp, and get under there with a helpful and knowledgeable mechanic to do a very methodical underside check of everything.

How much did you pay for your Tsport? ...if you don't mind me asking? : )

paid 3k for it....the bodywork is like new, even the light lenses are still crystal clear, interior like new, engine not a worry very very lively and with 35k on it , I thought a no brainer...got lucky financially and been itching to upgrade from my previous excellent 140 at earliest opportunity, v.glad I did but these gremlins, on a rd test I didn't pick up much except what I thought was out of balance wheels, turned out to be a warped nsf and inner tread wear on both rears all now sorted. once I got it home and had some quiet time I noticed the rock at rolling speed as I left my house ...I am going to be carful not to get drawn in at Toyota and yes first 15 mins are free then charged up to £90 ph =( but I thought it was worth a try to get some guidance.. good advice looking for a jap focused garage..i'll put the feelers out , thanks Debs
