  1. Haha, cheers mate - she flew straight out my hands. I suppose I SHOULD really follow the line to a GT4, sort of... a right of passage!
  2. Urgh, still gonna be heart wrenching to find another Celica that looks as good as this; (Which reminds me, I'm gonna need the rear windows 80% tinting again. EVERYONE should do that to their Celica, sets it off right well. I totally agree with you Arizona, the grey one does look REALLY well, and with a private plate, rear tints and facelift front end, it'll REALLY set it off nice!
  3. I'll have a good once over on it today, think we'll pop down to have a look and I'll take it for a drive. I'm winning the auction at £1220 at the minute, so that'll leave me about £600 to spend on it, without going over what I sold mine for. Then I'll probably pop over to Wigan (1hr 50m drive in a 1.2 brand new swift should be interesting, >_>) and have a look at the lagoon blue one. I DO love the Thunder Grey one though, hope it's okay. Also, had a look at that GT4 linked above... 2700 is out of my price range now thanks to council tax and a £580 gas bill.
  4. Here's the ad for both of them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251279168026?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1431.l2648 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161030378034?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  5. Grrrrr yeah I agree... I really like the Thunder Grey one above, it's got lovely interior, looks spotless, the ONLY bad parts the guy said are the few stonechips to front - every car has them, and my 140 had a fair few so if it's any less than that - bonus! And the rust bubble... I'm SURE you can just sand it away, get a bit of filler on it and paint it up? Something like that! I wonder if my local bodyshop can touch it up for cheap enough. It's 500 quid under my budget so I'd have 500 to buy a better CD player (As it'll come with stock one, not the dvd one that's in it already) and maybe spend 300 quid on the rust bubble. Dunno! :/ DOES look mint other than that though.
  6. With regards to the title, the Mrs aptly named my baby, Gail Platt - on the account of being a total sexy bitch. I'm not seeing it tbh. Anyways! I listed my pride and joy on Ebay a couple of days ago, and I met lovely lady called Ester (Who called herself Polly, as in polyester, lmao!) and her husband Stephen. They dropped by last night, and looked over my one true love, and I think - fell in love with her a little themselves. At about 6:15pm, Stephen - the new owner of my very much cared for Celica drove away and I swear to god - a little tear touched the sides! I was slightly miffed as I wanted to give her one final wash, wax and polish before she went, sort of like - a goodbye rub, lmao, but I'm SO glad she's gone to someone who will look after her. I was dreading someone coming - 18, not bothered about the car - just want's something with some poke, and eventually, I'd see a smashed up Celica on Ebay being sold as spares of repairs and to my dismay - it's got my reg plate on it. SO - I'm super happy that she's gone to a good home. I WAS in the market for a FAFF, but I'm not certain I can afford one just yet - so I'm focusing on looking at some decent 190's - I'm about a grand short of a nice, well looked after GT4. There's a nice 190 in Wigan, exactly the same as my 140, except for the CD Player and the Engine, which is all good - but the lift bolts will need changing as they've not been done, so that's a new experience! There's no modifications to the car except a private plate (apparently worth 500 quid) and it looks in generally good condition - but the wife will run me over there this after. I have to say though, I'm more interested in the prefacelift thunder grey one I saw in Derbyshire, but the seller says there's a slight rust bubble occurring on the driver side rear arch, which I can't see from the pictures - if I buy that one (which I'd prefer, I DO want a Tgrey one) - is the rusting an easy fix? How much would it cost, roughly, if it were say, the side of a banana around the arch? (Worst case I think!) Thunder Grey one is a 2001 Y reg and has covered 111k, the lagoon blue one is a 2002 reg and has covered 117k, but look in immaculate condition inside and out from the pictures - other than few stone chips and the apparent rust on the TGrey one. Here's some pictures; The blue one is 2hrs drive away, they Tgrey one is about half an hour away. Thoughts?
  7. I thought my 140 pulled like a train (Even against ST170) until I sat in the passenger seat of Cravo's 190. Now mine feels slow and is up for sale in hopes to find a 190 decent enough to replace it.
  8. Worst I've had is wankering 25 quid of V Power in a 100 mile trip. That was getting her home. The best MPG I've ever had was the A3 2.0 TDI. I did the full length of the M1 at 90mph getting 86-120mpg. Not even joking, full length of the M1 on 20 quid.
  9. Celica 7 Fuel Tank Capacity: 55Ltr (12.10g) 1 Imperial Gallon = 4.54 Litres 136.9 = 1 Litre of V Power Nitro I personally fill up about 25 quid a week, which is about 18.24 litres in my 140. 22 mile round trip, 2.8 miles of 40mph carriageway usually riddled with traffic, the rest is motorway. 18.24 / 4.54 = 4.017 Gallons 22 * 5 = 110 miles 110 / 4.017 = 27.38mpg Baring in mind, 8 miles of this is literally crawling traffic. My BEST run was on the way over to Brum, averaged about 51.8mpg down the motorway and A38. I think that's all right... if my calculation is off, then my results are totally wrong.
  10. Unclip the top of the Airbox off and remove. You'll see the butterfly box right on the intake before the panel filter. Nudge the filter back, or remove it - and slide the butterfly box out of it's 'rail'. Uncouple the small tube that enters the top of an almost dome like bit of plastic on top of the butterfly and plug it up with a small screw or bung. It's a suction tube, so it won't blow it out - a screw will be better, with a head. Slide the tube back in to the 'holster' on the lower segment of the airbox and just leave it there. Clip the airbox top back on (after ensuring filter is in position), disconnect the negative (black) cable until the bleeping from inside the car finishes - pop it back on and re-tighten, go out - tank it for 50 miles or so, and the ECU will adjust to the extra air on the intake. Job done. Takes about 3 minutes to do.
  11. Thanks dude! Regards to my previous comment also, after spending some time with the car today, we've easily come to the conclusion that the issue with the blowers is just an airlock and needs a full bleed. We massaged the pipes and its blowing hotter now so its definately not an issue to be concerned about. Will be trying to put the money together sooner, and will sell my car when i get the rest of it sorted. If someone else does go to buy it though, even at 4k - with the work done to it and how well it's been looked after, it's an absolute steal. Cheers darryl and enjoy your hols mate, will pop round afterwards! :')
  12. Thanks you guys. Steve, if you wanna post it mate that would be fine. I'll be able to get it on then before I meet you for the convoy to Thorpe. Don't forget to drop me your email in PM too for paypal - spacers remember!
  13. Done!! Get in!! Bled it well and after tickling the revs, we now have toasty hot air!! Thanks for that guys, daz your guide nailed it, cheers man <3
  14. Engine was off dude :/ Tried massaging pipes, still blowing cold. Not sure how to get near or flush heater matrix
  15. Hey folks. Got the new rad in and trying to get everything back to normal... Engine temp is staying at normal and doesnt appear to be overheating, however - blowers are still blowing cold hair even when turned up to hot... Climate control? Errm, not sure what to do next :/ Cold air, not hair - hahaha
  16. Someone's going to buy this immediately! Hope it stays in the club though. It'll be long gone before I have the cash to buy it, else I would have in a heart beat.
  17. Nitro+ Racing is 102RON, the V-Power Nitro+ is 99 RON and just has 25% more friction modifiers and cleaning agents in it. My mates A5 was run bone dry and filled with a jerry can and topped up at the petrol station - MPG went up 7mpg round town and at 70 on the motorway, pulled 38mpg instead of a usual 32mpg. Responsiveness - according to him, was a hell of a lot more different too, though he noticed, when giving it some pasty, he got slightly less than he normally would. It seems like a balancing game. Use the fuel and drive it steady, you'll save more fuel than with regular V-Power. Banking saved MPG during a run means if you are partial to giving it some pasty every now then, it'll just balance it out - but the fuel IS reported to be a much better fuel to use to keep critical engine parts cleaner and free up friction issues. V-Power Nitro+ will be replacing all V-Power pumps in all major garages first (Those closest to motorways and A roads I assume?) and will cost the same (supposedly) for the foreseeable. They've already replaced the fuel up at the M18 Shell I believe, so I'm going to fit the Rad today and since I did 24 miles on the red light, it'll be high time to fill up, will let you guys know what I find, or something!
  18. Pair of wazzaks. Well, the rad was meant to be here Tuesday, since I paid for next day AM delivery. Still not turned up and we're on Thursday now. Looks like this is going to be a weekend job at this rate. -.-
  19. Thats my uncle, Andy Mah - him and a European guy have built loads of them. Really top quality stuff. I personally wouldn't pay it - but thats a 100k+ car replica for less than 19 grand :/
  20. Oh definitely Boynx - extremely nice people. Could have left me to it (and I wouldn't have begrudged that at all) - but they didn't. The girls were probably bored and they could have had loads to be getting on with, but they stuck around without any complaints or anything. Proper club spirit that, to make sure a fellow member get's home okay. I owe them both a huge case of beers.
