  3. NP mate let me know, Send me a PM just incase this thread gets lost if ya need me
  4. I have to admit i am not the best at responding if you get ignored, I am a biker and we always say Hi to each other it just seems that a car thats on its ass with big wheels gets ignored. Also although there are quite a few around in Leicester there arent many showing club stickers
  5. HI its all ready got them in and yep thy are 4300k and yep it looks great with LED sidelights as well. with the front end stance on the thing along with the Massive bull bar (Ilegal for newer vehicles then) its got a lovelly look with the lights on. Having just had my quote for next monthand talking to Neil from Greenlight any mod is ok as long as i dont gain 180bhp, i am sure he will come along and correct me but all teh stuff i have on the truck and the celica is covered.
  6. Well its a great debate to have and i think it makes people appreciate both sides of the argument. On the 4x4 i have wound the lights down as i am going to be fitting a set of 4 lights on the Roof for the winter so only need the front HIDs for normal driving.
  7. Well as stated above i have HID's in both my cars now and well unless someone makes me take them out i will be leaving them in. As for the beam scatter the new cars with the official OEM HID's are just as damn blinding as the ones with Reflectors. Was minding my own buisness the other day and the F**king great Merc came stonking out of know where with his DRL's on his HID;s on and could i see where i was going Could I FK. HID's are here to stay unless they make them illegal me thinks. Also i dont have them fro hooning around in the dark that is way to bad, i just like the pure white light that they give off, looks far better than the yellow that you get from normal bulbs.
  8. How are they seriously going to Police this one? OK you might have to change to normal Bulbs for your MOT but come on how many cars are now running HID's and how many police do we have on the Roads not. I recently put them into My Gen 6 and tbh pointed at the garage door there was hardly any diffrence in the pattern compaired to normal bulbs. I have them in my Surf as well and yes i have to admit that a 6" lift on the beast does put them directly at any ar thats been lowered.
  9. Ohhhh shinnies And the standard compared to the new DLS
  10. I was always told by My Dad (yeeee when i was living at home) never use penetrating oil on locks as it causes issues further up the road. We had god knows how many arguments we had about this as every year my Mini locks would stop working, until one year the smart ass put some light weight oil (like the stuff you put into Stromberg carbs) into the lock, from that day on it never failed and i have always put grease or lightweight oil into mine. TBH its all a matter of personal choice.
  11. Ahh ok (dumb ass here) didn't think of looking in there tbh.
  12. Hey guys finally got my hands on the BR racing wheels in my mates lockup and thought wow these would look good cleaned up and put onto my Celica, however while cleaning the first wheel i found a dint in the wheel and was wondering if they are worth saving. 2 out of the 4 wheels have the center piece missing and have got curbing, however one of the wheels has a largish dent in it, hopefully you can see this from the photos. Thanks in advance of comments. Darren
  13. I find any grease works tbh, save your copper for special occassions, all your trying to do is lubricate the cylinder.
  14. This morning i suffered from this, but instead of using WD40 (which can wash away some of the Grease that should be in the lock as a lubrical) I dip the key into a pot of grease and open and close the lock a few times.
  15. LOL yep you do get stuck behind others not willing to move, but hey you sit back and wait for them to get out of the area eventually, with a big 2.5 ton diesel thats all you can do so you learn things move slowly when in the 4x4.
  16. Have to agree with this one, lots of people panic in this weather and instead of actually plan what your going to do they make sudden stupud moves that cause accidents, these are the people that make a mess of your beloved car.
  17. Mine is sat on the Drive covered in Snow. this is the one time of year where having a large 4x4 makes complete sense. I hope everyone is ok and nothing bad comes to any member!
  18. I think it all depends on the application. You can get some cheap ones that will provide a nice rounded amp's and then if you want to power some serious ICE then you need the top end stuff. Very nice Batteries for Installs http://www.bladeice.com/index.php/products/xs-power
  19. Whoo i got my new Stickers and Card today as well, so that's this weekends job to fit them.
  20. Okly doklym, will keep an eye on it so I can see how much its actually using..
  21. Ohh interesting. New owner here (of course) and mine does burn oil as well, is there a fault, can it be sorted or is it just a case of the age / miles on the clock?
  22. Welcome to Celica Club UK HiluxSurf :)
