  1. i have a old trolley jack but it tends to pull sideways only slightly when trying to to the car down , ive not used it on the celica yet but ive had it years 10+ easily but i think i will invest in a new one but i do have two lots of axle stands as well because you cant depend on a jack this looks a good one for a lowered car : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Liftmaster-Low-Profile-2-Ton-Hydrualic-Trolley-Car-Jack-/251198165947?pt=UK_Lifting_Moving_Equipment&hash=item3a7c93d3bb
  2. yh by hand , i had a machine polisher before but it was a cheapie , i used to use ultimate compound to get the colour back like the faded red back to the nice red but i tried earlier and just found on the rear bumper it didnt seem to do much
  3. so do yu use meguilars scratch x too , or something else in the range ?
  4. sorry ams do you mean you will only need a little at a time , i really just need to apply it to the scratches or do you go over the whole car?
  5. that looks a good polish , have you guys used the autogleem hd wax? i dont know if that takes scratches out but i know a few years ago i know when i had my old v6 prepped for a few car shows i always used to use 3 stage meguilars , paint cleaner/polish resin and then carnuba wax followed by tech wax mind you because of the red only being a base coat it used to take six hours just to polish the car (without all the other detailing lol)
  6. i guess the kids were allowed to try and dot to dot on the rear bumper lol
  7. yep as i said unfortunately my tsport wasnt looked after from the outside (interior is mint and no bad bits whatsover but with dents ,big dent in the drivers door the previous owner reconed one of the females shut the door with her stiletto or knee causing the biggish dent and all the other dents must of been her incompetance of driving lol and the scratches and it looks like its been touched up a bit but no damages thankgod lol. Im pretty sure between the two compounds will work as the scratches dont look too deep.
  8. myk , ive heard that g3 is pretty good , i dont suppose many people on here use autogleam high definition wax do they ? oh heres a pic of the rear bumper : they look fairly feint scratches so maybe the scratch stuff myk or insolent mminx recommended would do the work
  9. well i wouldnt say they are real deep , looks like they may have had some kids and thought theyd draw on the bumper lol whats scratch x ?
  10. Obviously i know my tsport isnt one of the best looking cosmetically outside with the dents etc in it from a previous owner GRR but today i washed the car and thought id get round to polish the car as ive not managed to do it . So i got the meguilars compound stuff out but realised id ran out of wax and as i wanted to make the car shiney for the japfest event id get some autoglym high definatition wax before that but it looks like i have to get quite a lot of scratches from the rear bumper so what the stuff to get guys and where from and how much...
  11. hmm that was a bit weird because i didnt think it was as heavy as a honda prelude gen 5 (the ugly one ) heres where i got the info : http://www.toyota.co.uk/vs2/pdf/CE3_74_over.pdf
  12. me too mate , im also amazed at this fact especially when you look at the gen6 it looks a much bigger car
  13. http://www.zeperfs.c...tch369-1303.htm and heres the weight difference : gt 6 -1220kgs gen7 vvtli 1595kgs 375kgs more in the seven .....
  14. it happens i guess and as long as everybody puts the car up as sold as seen then there shouldnt be no comeback
  15. no thats right , so basically we have a dc2 called a toyota celica
  16. yeah i think its 5500 rpm it hits vtec and im sure it goes nearly into 8.9 or so , so the celica is heavier but then when they designed the dc2 it was stripped of some of the interior and had lighter components and a LSD . 7k some are going for like the mint ones and they reckon you cannot simply get a good one for as less than £3500 I also looked at the ugly gen prelude and decided not to go for one and to go for a celica instead and yep here i am lol...
  17. yep interesting especially as i was looking at getting a integra dc2 before the celica but they went for so much cash and were very expensive (aparently they handle like no other car with the setup) checkout both specs here : http://www.zeperfs.c...duel176-369.htm dont think theres that much between them tbh
  18. have you tried : http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/
  19. no your right mate , i know a few older cars i had they couldnt adjust the rears
  20. sweet jesus mate i pay £18 for full 4 wheel laser alignment at one of my local places
  21. thats wicked , think i will add them to my garage on mine
  22. ive got two on the rear of my tsport but i will be changing them at the end of this month for the Kuhmo ecsta KU39 (some recommended them on here) as the two avons i have have slight wear on the insides when i bought the car : i find they are pretty good and grip the road in the wet and dry but they are around £90 each
  23. theres several celicas especially in the 7 gen variety in town and there mostly 140's and im sure ive seen on my way home a gen 5 which i believe is the guy who i bought the tsport from a couple of times and i try to flash people , one day there was even a yellow gen 7 in front of me but he turned off different way.
