  1. Gold teeth ready to go! Will be finishing off the seats hopefully later on...
  2. Certainly is Debbie. I have washed 3 of my cars and eill be moving onto waxing the Celica now. Sprayed the grill gold and that's back in now. As Wolfie said above though with the dust... there's a new housing development being built at the top of our hill... and it truly gets everywhere. My interior plastics are sand / beige!
  3. Here's one for y'all. Get your Celica pictured next to this road sign:
  4. I'm currently overhauling the gen 7 interior seats myself. This involves dying the leather and re-sealing it. Let me know if you want to see any pics of the progress if it helps you make up your mind. There's a good company who will set you up with all the gear you need. For what you want to do it's probably about £60 if you are able to refurbing your existing pieces.
  5. Lovely, I'll have a little think for a new one!
  6. Haha love this spaff. Excellent! I hope you eill be putting them on!
  7. Respect the urge to wait and find the fault than playing a risk! Especially at the cost of missing a meet. Looking sleek and beautiful as always Akuma . The more I see It, it makes me believe the Celica does work without a spoiler!
  8. If it seals the deal;I have a deer and a cat!
  9. I have it on my phone!!! I'll upload it later today. My leather dying kit came on Friday... dying seats is much more work than I anticipated!
  10. It recently went in for new discs and pads on the front. The calipers did sieze and had to be worked on so I'll start here first. Cheers for the info pal.
  11. Thanks chaps. I'll keep an eye on it and look out for an apparent leak.
  12. I'll give it a check now. Checked it last weekend after i got back and haven't been out in since.... Same as before; touch on the minimum side but within tolerance, which could make sense.
  13. I had just been dishing out some lift in 4th, settled things down and noticed the handbrake warning light now comes on under slight heavy acceleration. When you let off the accelerator, the light disappears. I tried 2nd / 3rd gear booting it rolling from 25mph and the handbrake light came on. 4th gear and acceleration wasn't enough to set it off. I'm thinking loose connection somewhere; have others had this before ?
  14. Yea tell me about it. I had the same problem with my rear subframe change. Because I provided the subframe and wanted labour only; no one was interested because they couldn't make margins on the bought in items and it was a little bit taxing. Good they can pick and choose in a time of austerity! I did this the other day; not directly related to working on my car, but it involved my Celica My new wallpaper
  15. I guarantee I'll have this one done tomorrow
  16. I love the Kaminari skirts. Surely it's to do with the associated issues. Want me to Photoshop them on your car and colour match them; would be a shame to get rid of them unless you are 100% sure. But that's just my opinion, let me know how much you want for them
  17. Ooh yea baby. Dems bearings. That's why they called it lagoon blue: Dive right in!
  18. I ran out of gold paint; again. So only managed to get halfway though. But it was much needed; it looked so tired when you opened the bonnet. But I am impressed with the rivnuts and aluminium washers. I can't understand why I didn't do this sooner! (They have not been tightened in this picture which is why the panels don't sit flush )
  19. I went for Eicher in the end because I left it too late to get the discs. I only had 24 hours to get them on before the M.O.T so had to pick what was in stock local with enough time to get the coats of paint on. My own fault completely. I'm probably going to get shot for this; but I didn't think it would make much difference performance wise. The calipers are small and are nothing special on these: my thoughts being they should be enough to stop the car. For as much as I love Celicas i think the standard brakes do the job for a sub 200bhp car. Braking performance has increased 10 fold even though they are bedding in; however the old pads were nearly shot, piston seized in the calipers and the discs were warped... I did put brembo pads on them though! +1 rep for the faith in rust!
  20. That looks so much better against your alloys. It might be as mine are anthracite; the colour doesn't pop as much. The contrast is great against those calipers; they are spot on I'm just glad to know i'm in good company with my brakes I'm surprised to hear that about the rust though... I wonder what they coat it in.
  21. New discs and pads on... After spraying the hubs and vents of course. I opted away from the M-Tecs as unheard a few users and the neighbour opposite me's RX-8 squealing when braking. I should add. I'm my effort to paint these in rose gold; it actually looks like they have rusted regardless... so a waste of time and resources
  22. I whacked out the orbital and my mix of meguiers scratch X and cerium oxide powder... The sun roof looked like someone had sand-papered it with 200 grade. It was horrible. 5 minutes later with little effort; thia works really well on glass guys and girls. Hope you get this sorted mate. Let us know how you get on. Totally agree; It looks long doesn't it. Looks longer than mine; but I think mine's girthier.
