  5. Erm the manual is rated at 7.6, I think the flappy paddle version of the 86 of which I have seen a few of are specced at a 0-60 of 8.2 secs which is a pretty sad no matter how it handles I have had a straight line with one off a slip road on the M27 and it couldn't keep up and I am running a bog standard tsport. P.S I do get it is all about the corners....but....
  6. Happy Anniversary johnsg!

  7. On the Magnatec which one should we be using, I just generally bought the 5W-30 for petrol engines without looking and seems I have always ended up with the A1. On hotukdeals I saw this (below) and just wondered which would be the the correct one. A3?? ACEA This is the European equivalent of API (US) and is more specific in what the performance of the oil actually is. A = Petrol, B = Diesel and C = Catalyst compatible or low SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulphur). Unlike API the ACEA specs are split into performance/application catagories as follows: A1 Fuel economy petrol A2 Standard performance level (now obsolete) A3 High performance and/or extended drain A4 Reserved for future use in certain direct injection engines A5 Combines A1 fuel economy with A3 performance B1 Fuel economy diesel B2 Standard performance level (now obsolete) B3 High performance and/or extended drain B4 For direct injection car diesel engines B5 Combines B1 fuel economy with B3/B4 performance C1-04 Petrol and Light duty Diesel engines, based on A5/B5-04 low SAPS, two way catalyst compatible. C2-04 Petrol and light duty Diesel engines, based on A5/B5-04 mid SAPS, two way catalyst compatible. C3-04 Petrol and light duty Diesel engines, based on A5/B5-04 mid SAPS, two way catalyst compatible, Higher performance levels due to higher HTHS.

  9. Forget the RX-8 = Fuel consumption. Crossfire = American = shite version of a Mercedes. Get a Gen7 Tsport or GT I'll even send you a hairdryer! Then you are back in the fold!
  10. Is it the Hard top version of the one in "You only live twice" ?? Prefer the convertible but would gladly have either!
  11. Well on the drive in to work this morning on the M27 this band new big ugly silver lump this morning with GT6 and TURBO written all over the back wanted to play. Well for the 10 seconds that I could still see him! I had to google when I got in to find out that Rover really were making this pile of shit. With the weight of the car and the grunt of the engine I am surprised they even bothered, for all the big flashy badges on the back they should have put them on the front as that is where most people would see them, well that is until it disappears in your mirrors.
  12. Glad to hear you are sorted mate and a good bit of bargaining there considering it was Mr T.
  13. I haven't tried anywhere local myself but a guy I work with daughter damaged her car a few weeks ago and he used a garage in Otterbourne just up the road from you. He said the job was really good and it wasn't that expensive (two wings and a bonnet). I will get the details tomorrow although a replacement door I am sure will be cheaper. Anyway will PM you and if you do go the garage route let me know if you need any help even if it just a case of running you home etc. I think a lot of people have gone through things like this , when you look at the damage you can hardly say that they would have not noticed, Feckers!
  14. Yeah I would forget Mr T that sounds like a royal rip off, I had mine replaced at my local garage last February around £400 including the 5 hours of labour and the Exedy kit (Disc, Plate and Pressure bearing). I even thought that was high but its a reputable garage and I didn't want to go "under the arches" for a clutch.
  15. You could try this (Chicco Keyfit), Mothercare have them and I found someone using one with an 03 celica, at least with Mothercare you could send it back. (not ISOFIX though it seems) http://www.mothercar...=keyfit&x=0&y=0 Just had another search looks like amazon do the same seat for 80 quid. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dbaby&field-keywords=chico+keyfit&x=0&y=0 From http://www.car-seat....ead.php?t=65789 "We have a 2003 Toyota Celica and use the Chicco Keyfit car seat for our son. One bonus was that the handle on the Chicco can remain upright which makes a little additional room for the passenger in the front seat."
  16. Fairly sure those are Gen6 after doing a quick google on 68960-0W020
  17. I had something very similar with the dealer I bought my Celica from so I spoke to trading standards who advised that I get it on paper and send a letter (preferrably to the owner/director of the company) a note saying that I was unhappy with the work and why, that I had contacted trading standards who had informed me to send a letter to see if it can get resolved before they would start investigation proceedings. A few days later I had the problem all rectified by the dealer. Just keep it polite, but let them know that you are clued up via trading standards, as Digitalman said " Sale of goods act" not fit for purpose was the route I went. Your local government authority should have a trading standards office Trading Standards Hertfordshire Office – 01727 813849 It was worth the call to trading standards in the end as they gave some really good advice and the letter was enough to scare them in to sorting out the problem quickly. GL Mate!
