  3. Just give in and buy a set, you will change your opinion on them. They blind no-one if you have projector headlights and they correctly aligned. Standard bulbs incorrectly aligned will blind on coming traffic just the same as xenon headlights. Sorry, I can't stand people moaning about them lol
  4. JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) - A car built FOR and sold IN Japan. I see it as a matter of fact rather than a style or scene. Numberplates are the biggest sign as to whether or not a car was originally built for the JDM, as when imported to the UK the size is different. Its six and half a dozen, whether you have a Celica T-Sport or Celica SS II.
  5. Happy Anniversary JnrGT!

  6. Yeah, Greyracer is right. I have 215's on the rear (new tyres) and 205's at the front. It is horrible how early the ESC cuts in and really ruins the driving experience. In the long run it will be worth it when the fronts wear and I then have all four of my tyres the same (Eagle F1 2's).
  7. This is where I got mines from after hitting a badger in January and busting my old one; http://www1.fastrads.co.uk/radiators/toyota/celica/celica2/index.html Great service and cheap I see no point in buying a more expensive option unless ur car is modified.
  8. It's def not the type of tyres... I just fitted asymmetric 2's this month and they are amazing... even better than the old continental sport contacts I had on
  9. No idea about falkens on a celica. I had them on my fto but cant remember what kind, they were alright as far as I remember! Hi just bought Eagle F1 asymmetric 2s from camskill.... they are AMAZNG and would advise to buy mate. Previous tyres were sport contact 2s but the goodyears are better
  10. I want mines offset to the side (evo style). maybe painting screws/bolts and putting them back might look ok, or stainless ones, not sure
  11. Hmm, the holes on the bumper might be an issue for myself as I fancy this stick on plate but to the near side part of the bumper. If any of you do this to a gen 7 get some pics up, I think I'll have a look at the holder myself this weekend.
  12. Interesting points. The changing 4 tyres at once doesnt phase me as I like to try different tyres and I only like having all tyres on a car the same. Although, if Michelin suggest have more grip at the back I'll be happy enough to keep it that way, save me the hassle in this cold nights, usually about 7 before Iam home anyway. Cheers!
  13. Cheers, I think I'll take your advice and leave it, really can't be bothered doing it anyway!
  14. I was thinking about doing something with the plate also, I was going to put a 3/4 size on the back but its bolted on at the ends so I guess there would be holes left, I thought about having the front plate to the left (like an evo) but I realise there is plate holder, thus I really can't be bothered.... which is annoying as the front plate spoils the look of the car, take it off completely and you will see what I mean.
  15. Hi, I was thinking of swopping my rear wheels with the fronts as They have more or less full tread and the fronts are around half worn (still plenty of tread). Reason being is to make the set of tyres last longer through equal wear and so I have maximum grip from the tyres I have with this weather. Is it ok to do this or should I take it to a garage so the wheels can be alligned/balanced? Cheers
  16. Because gen 7's have projector headlights it's very unlikely that anyone that isn't interested in cars, or even Celicas will know that HID's are not standard (providing 4300K to 600K is used). I would keep them on and change the headlight level accordingly.
  17. Yeah, I wasn't expecting much, but when yougo on the website the have marketed it as if it is the best thing ever... guess there wasn't any harm using it though
  18. Well, after more than 2 weeks since I had put this stuff in and noticed no difference what so ever, waste of money because it wasn't exactly cheap. Car feels the same as it did a month ago
  19. Yeah but FTO's are very cheap too, I got mine for a good price... although yes, the tiptronic gearbox did brake, and yes I did crash the car and scrap it 3 months after fitting a new one! Hence, I think that any jap motors (inc celicas) ten years old or older are more or less worthless anless standard and in excellent condition (due to high running/repair costs and low appeal to most people who drive normal cars). Iam just hoping my GT is worth circa £2500-£3000 in 2 years time when I plan to sell.
  20. I ordered a can on Friday, see how it goes. Not expecting anything major as the car always runs on V-Power and has 40k on the clock, but I guess it will do no harm.
  21. I only fill the Celica with V-Power or BP Ultimate (although the price of BP fuel is insane!) I found with my FTO that you only notice the diffrence after using v power then switching back to normal fuel, it just feels sluggish, no idea about mpg.
  22. Hi guys. Just finished reading pistonheads small article on new pictures of the Toyota 'FT-86' see link: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=24605 As the article states that it probably won't be called the FT-86, thus could this be the Gen 8 Celica? I realise this car has rear wheel drive, but it also has an engine pushing just below 200bhp and is lightweight, which to me sounds more of a recipe for a Celica rather than say a Supra. Regardless of what it ends up being called, I'd be more than happy to put a deposit down for one brand new, I rwalise I have not long bought myself a Celica (newest possible I could find) but it is still 5 years old. Anyone else got any thoughts on the 'FT-86' or whatever they decide to name it?
  23. Decent, I will get to that some time in the future, work is extremely busy at the moment so not got much free time for internet browsing and on here
  24. Apologies if I have spread pics of cars which arn't Celica's on the site, but knowhere have I seen mentioned not to put pictures up of your previous motors, if your not interested dont look, or put up other pictuires so it removes mines from the home page. Somebody on here must have at least owned one of these types of cars in the past and ay appreciate the pictures
  25. Don't know if this will sway your choice but; DO NOT BUY CHEAP RUBBER I am 90% sure that it is down to cheap rubber that I crashed my gorgeous Mitsubishi FTO a few years back. It had been in for an MOT and service which resulted in needing new tyres at the front as they were worn. I decided to buy expensive rubber from online and the garage fitted very cheap used rubber for the meantime until I got the new tyres delivered, unfortunately that very night I crashed going round a roundabout at a speed which wasn't ridiculous and had done so many times before on the cars old rubber, so I am certain it was down to the bollocks quality of rubber. On a side not, I have Continental Sport Contact 2's all round on the GT with amazing levels of grip in the wet and dry Please spend the extra cash and buy quality tyres!
