when I say its below the bottom.dot, its when I first go out to the car on a morning and first pull out the dipstick before wiping it away to get a reading. This is a facelift engine so it shouldn't be burning oil, but then the level is starting to concern me :/

this is starting to frustrate me and given that i had a preface engine im now religiously checking my oil levels. from cold, the oil dipstick reads as below the bottom dot of the dipstick when i pull it out yet when i wipe it i get a higher reading than that usually; i also find it hard to get a consistent layer of oil on the dipstick to give me something to work an accurate level from (broken in places, patchy with gaps). I also get different readings on the front and the back of the dipstick so im genuinely not sure how much oil is in the car and how to get the best most accurate reading of the oil any tips for getting a proper reading, and should i be worried about the level of oil on cold being as low as that?

140 clocks go to 150mph, but its more that the rev counter doesn't go high enough for the tsport thats the main consideration you should have, not the speed

i did a full oil change earlier in the week and the oil that came out didn't smell of fuel at all; checked the new oil today and it smells a little bit of fuel so im a bit confused lol

hi guys, im gonna change the oil in the celica, only problem is ive never done one before so wondered if anyone was able to lend a hand? ive picked up some magnatec, in the process of sourcing an oil filter (see http://www.celica-cl...50#entry1702150). only thing i lack is some experience and a filter wrench (aand maybe an oil pan ) if anyone is able to help that would be great, perhaps sometime this week or this coming weekend if its decent? mek

i had read that if the oil smellled of fuel it was a leaking injector as a possible cause of it....what else could cause the oil to smell of fuel? haven't dropped the oil out as i actually don't know how (:/) advice? nah, the engine isn't down on power; how noticeable would the loss of power be? yeah the oil was changed 1k miles ago when the engine was switched over and was clean and new.
