  1. Probably, guessing will be a ecu/loom/engine job, though prices what they are, wouldn't be a lot. Hopefully though the engine is fine with the tensioner spring replaced will post on the Gen 6 on the gearbox/driveshaft question, as curious meself!
  2. what about an engine swap ? put a 3sge in there. also - SSI comes with a S54 gear box but different drive shafts - something I don't know is can you use 3SGE drive shafts in the SSI S54 (Briano?). The driveshafts are stronger I believe in the 3sge, and a lot more common. Something you may already have done, not sure.
  3. done with this one or done with celica's ? Sell and buy a uk GT ? or something different. There is a point you have to stop spending, though the replacement may need plenty doing to it ? Better the devil you know....
  4. Tbh though, if your not boosting not going to make much difference ? Alloy would look nicer ! How thick is the beams rad and the alloy one ?

  9. Hi, want to check the compression on my engine one year from it's transplant. Did buy a cheap autofactors thing, biggest pile of junk ever. Anyone got a decent kit and would be willing to use it on my car ? Happy to travel about Little nervous too about possible results. Engine came with set of replacement piston rings.....
  10. shame you didn't get the chance to sort this! Only reason i ask is at some point fancy grabbing a 3sfe engine to learn how to take apart/rebuild, and turbo another one in the future that is more robust!

  13. Good info dude, thanks. Running 3sgte with Jdm mr2 ecu, so usually use nitro and feel guilty using momentum, but looks like it's better ! Use itnfornexactly same reason , detonation control.

  15. Came in the SS2 only I believe. Pretty rare, grab one if it comes up. Your looking for the vin code with it on if your looking at cars. Only made for a couple of years. Price varies, figure between 150 - 250 with drive shafts. Drive shafts on here own if the person knows what they have seem to be around 100. Also can be feckin hard to find! I didn't fit it (assume Bek has chatted to you) but my gear cables aren't quite correct size, grab the gear cables with it, or I believe (well, I going to grab some!) GT4 St205 gear cables will fit. GT4 clutches fit it, if it doesn't have a clutch may as well get a 3sgte one and pressure plate. Believe one gearbox mount needs to be sorted as there is one different to your s54 - hopefully someone wiser will know more. There is a st185 gear box modified for fwd on eBay as well which might be worth a thought (or was if its gone!). Not sure it has the right drive shafts though. I believe the e56 is pretty much the gt4 box without the transfer bit. Oh and the 3sgte is brilliant fun, you'll love it! Am in southampton fairly often so if you want to check out mine first, let me know.

  19. Really threw me how light they were! Then forgot, helped geraint by swooping wheels over, and realised gen7s weighed a ton in comparison !
  20. Have white three spokes as temp wheels no centre caps, Initially didn't like them but grown to like them like idea of red wheel nuts, didn't knowncould get flat seat red ones! The chipped white look badly need spacers
  21. Dude thats some crazy camber ! Was going to say have some negative camber on mine since fitting coilovers, will take a pic to show....but yours beats me by a fair whack ! Spacers on wheels and take on Hondas ? Seriously, hope you sort it. Sure right shocks ?
  22. Some guesses as fun; Power deck spacer - 40? Rear strut brace - 30? Facelift rear lights - these Jdm ? If so 60? Fuel filler neck - about 50 new from tcb so 40 ? Carbon fibre number plate holder - this the rear with surround or for front number plate ? If rear surround £5 sold to my good self nah, not sure! Meister r - depends on condition ? Good condition 300-400?
  23. I went 7 at front 6 at rear, but that was to cope with the weight a bit better of the 3sgte lump.
  24. love mine. been able to drop but not as much as my lowering springs before, so little more particle but still look good (in my opinion). Set at 10 from soft all round, comfier than the lowering springs. never driven stock so can't comment on that. Really happy with how they ride, and plenty of scope to firm up. Went for the stiffer springs as well of the two choices of st202s, thought mostly to help with the extra weight at the front.
