  1. No professionals use fly eye, they all use film or spray to tint covers ... theres a reason for that as well.
  2. Yeah i know, going to get it checked. I was just wondering hypothetically for future. Your right, they are expensive Not corrosion, the wheels were refurbed when i bought the car in November. They are the wrong size for a Celica ... they wouldnt even fit in the arch Dont worry, i'm not going to go straight out there & foam the shit out a new tyre before i get someone to refit it, that would be silly.
  3. Woke up bright & early to find my new 3 week old 255 35 19 tyre is flat ... I think it was a slow puncture, i cant see any visible or obvious causes so its hopefully just a poor seal. Anyway, my question is how long can you have foam in the tyre before you need to get it replaced? I know that if i fill it with foam, i will have to replace the tyre completely etc. Cheers!
  4. Lucky bastard I've averaged 15.5 over the last tank in the TT. Its absolutely crap when crawling in traffic, gets 30 on the motorway or 22ish around town when its quiet.
  5. I think someone did a guide for cleaning the oil control valve a little while back, that requires complete removal of the throttle body IIRC. Just need to make sure there isnt any grime or loose dirt in there that could get sucked in.
  6. That is really bad! Hope a minimal amount of dirty air has entered the system, might be worth cleaning the throttle body when you remove the CAI.
  7. You'll be amazed at just how much your fuel economy drops when you start doing short runs, its unbeliveable!
  8. I've heard great reviews about the Meguires Plast-X. Alot of the gen 7 owners use it to restore the headlights.
  9. I've got mine listed at £3k with 75k miles & i've had no interest what so ever yet.
  10. If you've never wrapped anything before, i would get some of the shit stuff off ebay for 5 quid & have a go. You'l get the hang of it pretty quickly & then do it again with some better quality wrap.
  11. I prefer to use Napalm to parafin if i'm honest. Only thing it would be good for is to remove tar spots etc ... in which case use this instead.
  12. If your getting someone else to fit the wrap the bonnet then they will most likely want to use their own vinyl. Personally, i would have a go at doing it yourself. Like you said vinyl is cheap enough & if you arse it up then you can always take it off & throw it away (takes about 15 minutes & hot water to get it off).
  13. If you want to do it then do it, just be aware it may fail an MOT. Its pretty unlikely you'll get pulled over because the light omitted wont be altered significantly enough to look like anything other than a HID if it is just a slight tint. Or you could just get flyeye
  14. Think it disappears a bit but its pretty cheap to extend them.
  15. It is the same guy. I have one, just not fitted yet. It is a good fit but its recommended you make the trip to barnsley for him to do it.
  16. I used a belt sander on my roof.
  17. I'v got a LOAD of off cuts & random sizes of gloss black if you want to practice mate.
  18. 225/45 for 8J wheels i believe pal.
  19. Sorry mate but i cant help this weekend. This is one of the jobs i can actually do as well
  20. This is all hypothetical aint it lads ... because topping 4th gear is around 100mph & we wouldnt dream of doing that unless we were on a track right
