  1. Martin and scott are top blokes. Taken a few of my cars there and its just over and hours drive for me. They'll look after you
  2. http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/67763-what-to-look-for/#entry834790 Here you go dude. Gen 5 "what to look for" post
  3. He was waiting for the beeps to get louder and closer together
  4. As I read the first few posts I was about to suggest your flocking services Ant but you beat me to it. ... What's with the 2 airfreshners tough ?!??!? :-)
  5. I think it's a bad idea. Took my car for an mot and the guy nearly reversed it into a wall until I shouted.. He thought the beep was rear parking sensors !!!
  6. Welcome back. I remember you.. Mainly because I always wondered if your username was "plank" or "plan c" :-)
  7. If it does go through expect the other party to challenge the mot which will as a minimum delay any payout and likely lead to a discussion over liability with them not offering to pay the full 100% Also you'll have to pay your excess and won't get it back until it's settled and third party insurer pays out. Given the value of the claim it seems like a lot of hassle. I'd get them to pay in advance and have done with it. If you really have injuries then it's worth claiming but otherwise this isn't an open and shut case so could be a slow process and you might not win. Be aware too that a company lawyer could easily overrule your email from the "claims advisor" (who is probably a very junior staff member) all they have to say is that her comment was made without full knowledge of all the facts
  8. Happy 4 Anniversary ScottChester!

  9. I can understand the frustration mate, nothing worse than a car not running right, especially when you've just paid for it doing. Hope you get it sorted soon
  10. Yeah, 2 friends had there's rolled at different places a few years ago and within 18 months both had rust. I suspect they'd cracked the paint when rolling
  11. Make sure its done right. Seen various cars with rusty arches as a result of bad arch rolling jobs
  12. They were never sold in the u.k so you'd be reliant on the dvla registering them all correctly as they arrive... which they never do.They were a limited run, then only imported in small numbers. Must the the rarest of the 7s
  13. I wouldnt worry besty, it seems slys current plan is to be annoying on this type of thread. He's all over mixer72 on his similar thread in another section.
  14. I'm seeing a few "camps" emerging here and it looks like I'll straddle both. 32 and work in tech for a bank as a project manager. I got my gen 7 a 3 years ago and ran it for 18 months, now driving a diesel estate as I have a kid and dog. However, as soon as said kid can get in and out of a gen 7 on his own I'm getting another. So I'll fall into the late 20s wanting something cool looking and quick ish, and hopefully also into the mid 30s returning to cool cars after a few years of boring family estate cars
  15. Airbags are pretty important, whilst some of the above look nice in a head on of rather have the airbag !
  16. Your not the only one who's had this thought. I went with the 7 rather than the 6 for 1 reason and 1 reason only. Cars don't last forever, even well built ones rust.
  17. Bad times dude. Hope you find another. Mx5 will be easier to sell in summer than autumn / winter
  18. Happy Anniversary ScottChester!

  19. A dubs said its not reliant on a constant power source. The map is 'written' to memory
  20. This thread will last 1000 years... like a mighty old oak tree !
  21. Best thread in ages this ! I wood say I've enjoyed it !
  22. Anyone heard from ant ? He's not replied for 48 hours. I'm worried the old dude has actually kicked his ass and taken his car. If anyone sees a really old bloke driving a yellow celica around Yorkshire please stop him :-)
  23. Admit it ant, you thought about kicking his ass but then wondered if he was an 85 year ex royal marine and it would have been hard to admit a 85 year old smashed your car and kicked your ass :-)P.s is that the most Bush you had in the back of your car for a while !?!?!
