  1. Happy Anniversary Cleario!

  2. I'd say it would depend on colour, if it's metallic colour like lagoon blue then no I wouldn't flat back the colour, just leave it for 30mins to dry then lacquer straight away. But a straight gloss colour then yes flat it back like about with some 2000 then make sure it's clean and dry with paint prep wipes then lacquer
  3. Always good to fix things with a hit!!
  4. I've got a feeling the gearbox will be upgraded
  5. I used to be able to get 215/40 17 for my Astra turbo Yokohama prada spec 2's very cheap! Around £50 a tyre, great dry grip but shockingly undrivable on boost in the damp.
  6. I don't really know to be totally honest, I got given a bag of the stuff with the blaster. It just says walnut shell on the side written in marker?
  7. I have a small Clarke sand plaster, ideal for stripping paint and small bits if rust off things. Only downside i only have a 50L compressor in the garage so it runs out very fast but I'm guessing you got a better compressor than that lol. I paid £70 2nd hand off Gumtree
  8. Shame, I got given the hell task to paint a set of LM reps pink....many painless hours of sanding and masking they looked bloody lovely! Do they have the little stud effect things around the rim? I ended up painting them with a bush...never again haha!
  9. I can't stand it no more! I'm off to give it a wash!
  10. Are they genuine bbs? If they are they can be split and sandblasted to remove the silver? If not it's a long job, masking the polish lip will take long enough...
  11. Just got in from work and mines covered! It's really sticky too?
  12. My blue one lost it's sticker too
  13. I've been looking for a set for my punto, but there worth more than the car lol
  14. I love that set up joe! What sort of price will replacement rotors be? Can you get the separate from the bells?
  15. Yep you still need them, or I'd advise you do. It can be done without them if the centre nut is undone on when the wheels are still on the floor but I wouldn't advise it!
  16. Yes I have, the cars should take the abuse. We they have actually lowered the service time back down to 12,000 rather than the 18,000 that normal cars use. The service time is set on miles driven, time as in yearly, or time the engine has been running in hours. I drive my car hard, very hard at times. I've done 65000 in it without a problem.
  17. I can only agree with ams. Working on police cars that have major engine failure at 60,000ish miles is a real eye opener, they get maintained without cost at mind yet I've replaced 3 engines within a year.
  18. I have leather as I'm a mechanic so I go get dirty, I've tried no end of seat covers but they either look crap or fall off every time you get it. Also after being out on the bike I get very wet and muddy so a wipe with some clothes and it's clean again. My punto has cloth seats and there stinking at the moment!
  19. Body kit fitting isn't cheap. If you want it to last and be fitted properly you need to pay. Is that a full respray? It's worth going to somewhere that fits body kits regularly rather than just guessing. I payed £1600 for a respray on my last car with the doors smoothed. Not the cheapest but 3 years later it still looks good and no problems with chips or paint peeling.
  20. I agree with those above too, if you go too dark you'll end up 'loosing' the wheel into the tyre making them look smaller
  21. I'd give FRF a go next time, just off the m4 J44/45 really depending on which way you want to go. I was up rhigos last saterday on the bike. Next time in heading that far I'll keep an eye out!
  22. I have had problems with Toyota world cardiff finding bulbs for the climate panel. I was told they can't be replaced and i need a new climate panel, but FRF swansea had them in stock? As far as dealer techs go it's hit and miss, I've been with volvo since 2004, I've done all my training with them since my apprenticeship and now I'm doing my masters, the training always been handed to me if I want it. I could say no and just get on spinning filters all day like some people I work with treating it as 'just a job'. But I've been interested in cars since forever so I want to know more, I'll often spend an evening when the mrs is in work reading the product news because I find it interesting and makes my life easier in work. It really annoys me reading forums (not just on here on a few others) that the dealers get slated time and time again. But back on topic I do find FRF swansea parts much for helpful, but it's a bit far to go just for parts for you G
  23. I had a Clifford aventgaurd or something on my Astra, cost just over £600 fitted. It had remote intelli start, headlight flash, total closure on the windows, boot only unlock, door lock when drive off, turbo timer. It was good fun walking away from the car and leaving it running, then 30seconds later it would turn off and lock and close all the windows.
  24. Flock is great, I had my old Astra dash flocked and it cost a fortune. Only had it in there 3 months before it got written off
