Well done Paul 13 years since you joined...were does the time go ! :)

  3. I'd have definitely said I saw the car rear end
  4. Nothing really negative about GT4's. My G6 GT4 had a bad drinking habit, but apart from that it was rock solid and reliable. The G7 we have now as a daily is much more plasticky, but its easier to drive and doesn't need to visit the fuel garage so often. But it acts just like any modern car - the GT4 had real character and would put a smile on my face every time I drove it
  5. Happy Anniversary Frodo!

  6. Depends on the size of the dogs of course. We can get our German Shepherd in the boot with room for another
  7. My rears did that. I had seen that happen before
  8. Well our garage normally sends out a reminder that the MOT is due. We went to Thailand in January, parked the missus's Celica up at Heathrow, and came back middle of February. Yesterday I was thinking about the MOT and checked - it ran out in January!!!! So we have been running around without an MOT for weeks - phone call to the garage this morning and its booked in for next week - their next available slot - they don't understand why we didn't get a reminder. Bloody glad we didn't get stopped!!! Car now parked up in the driveway and my Celica will be used until its sorted - then I will probably take mine off the road as we don't need two cars, and as mine is a gen 5 its feeling a bit tired compared to the gen 190
  9. Happy Anniversary Frodo!

  10. Manufacturers wouldn't put it in a new engine - its place is in an older engine that has wear.
  11. That does look nice. If you can afford the running costs of a GT4 I say go for it. Mine was the best car I have had by a long way
  12. Downright ugly and pretentious (IMHO)
  13. Happy Anniversary Frodo!

  14. Why did it lock with the engine running? Hope thats not a standard thing on the gen 7, as I do that when de-icing the car. I know if I click to unlock and don't go and open the door it will relock, but my understanding was that if you click, unlock, then open and shut a door it will stay unlocked. Thats my experience anyway, so have been running the engine with the doors closed whilst scraping the ice off
  15. Oooh, pet hate, people saying or writing om nom nom nom
  16. yep, ain't gonna fit until you get the clips for it
  17. train horn is top quality. lovvin it
  18. I've had allsorts including a gen 6 GT4 and a gen 7 190 (still have it). My view on it is that a: the GT4 is an amazing car, very quick, and gripped the road like it was on rails. People moved over when they saw it coming (it was kitted up). But its heavy, and even heavier on fuel. b: the gen 190 is a good fast car, but very plasticky in comparison. Needs good tyres to grip the road. Much better on fuel As much as I loved my GT4, the fuel costs were too heavy. Plus the GT4 had to be 'driven' quite hard to get the best out of it. The 190 you can drive like a normal car, but put your foot down and its quick. I don't have the same passion for the 190, but its a good fast car - faster than my everyday gen 5 anyway. If money was no object - ie doing low miles, I'd say get a GT4, otherwise get a 190
  19. None in our household have received new ones yet
  20. we the public pay their wages and don't want these speed camera vans and yet we still end up having them. summat wrong there!
