  1. Happy 6 Anniversary Sawyer!

  2. Happy 5 Anniversary Sawyer!

  3. Happy Anniversary Sawyer!

  4. I have to disagree. Go with a Rotary - most people I speak too find it easier than a DA. Follow Princys advice and you can't go wrong.
  5. Wrap some tape round them when you take the sockets off. I did that on my old ones are they were "ok"
  6. They do look lovely in blue. Shame about the spacing on the rear wheels on that. That would finish it off nicely.
  7. Blue does look amazing! Ian Smiths was blue and that looked cool.
  8. Happy Anniversary Sawyer!

  9. If your going to wet sand them, you need a machine polisher and compound to get them back to being clear again, but they will look "mint". Unless you've got arms like popeye on roids.
  10. Surly though Ambient noise is impossible to measure in a none-controlled environment, because as they are testing your exhaust a lorry could go by or a firework display!
  11. Yay!!!! Managed to fit it and got it working!!! Now took them all off again to get the wipers a lick of paint and also the motor before refitting. I love my GT-Four. :D :D
  12. Managed to get the ball joint back on after having a spot of lunch and using 2 screwdrivers. Now just fit it to the motor and away we go! :D
  13. In other good news, managed to fit my seat belt. So I now have a working passenger seat belt. In other bad news, just noticed some rust under my rear spoiler. Will take it off for some investigation!
  14. Got those 2 bits apart. more WD40 and it popped off eventually. Now to try and get that ball joint part back in.
  15. I can hook the ball joint inside out. But I don't see how I'll be able to press it back in. Also I still can't get that ball joint off the motor, it's completely seized. I'm going to stick to cleaning them in future, i'm useless with spanners.
  16. So a couple of weeks ago my windscreen wipers stopped working. Tested fuse all ok. I got a replacement motor from Izzy. Today I started taking the old motor off, undid the 4 bolts, pulled it through a bit and undid the nut on the back! Then I hit a problem. I still couldn't get the motor off, completely stuck! I managed to get a screw drivers behind it, and off it popped! But it's popped off at the ball joint inside! Now I still can't get the ball joint off the motor and then I've no idea how I'm going to get it back inside the ball joint once I refit to my new motor. If I ever manage to do that. Anyone replaced a wiper motor before can advice before I put my car up for sale again. (very clean but missing window wipers) Heres a couple of pictures: The old motor, with the ball joint part completely stuck on. Where it used to live on the engine bay, with the old ball joint inside that little hole. Any ideas?!
  17. You could wrap a bit of material (I used a microfibre cloth) and if you take your time, won't damage the coating/paint too much.
  18. I really like them Liam. That would look good on certain colours. I think you can get away with it with dark green car.
  19. That's exactly what happened to mine!!! Complete junk.
  20. I had short D1 nuts. Never again, took the wheel off twice, stripped threads, not matter how lightly I did it the colour came off. Wouldn't trust them, got some nice black steel ones now - no issues.
  21. Happy Anniversary Sawyer!

  22. I need some paintwork on mine! I do quite fancy saving for a full respray though!
  23. It looks a bit oxidised - a machine polish should bring it back to it's original red! Cheaper than a respray too - unless it's stone chipped/scratched and needs a spray Just realised you have a grey car! Spray it!
