  1. that digital oil pressure gauge - i have the vacuum one from that manufacturer, they are that cheap for a reason and it's not a good one LOL If you are after digital gauges take a look at these, top quality Brittish manufactured items - http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/gauges/ i got my oil temp/pressure digi gauge from there - neat bit of kit
  2. Oh my, if you look on the sellers other items for sale there is an equally ruined RX7 - what the hell goes through some peoples minds?
  3. i got a set of red steel nuts from ebay, looked great but the red coating on the inside of the internal drive but cracked and the nuts corroded/rusted - this was not an obvious problem until i tried to fit the spline drive key in. Yup you got it, damn thing wouldn't fit easily and had to chap it in then wiggle it around, just glad it was on my drive during the day in good weather and not in the dark in the pissing rain with a flat tyre needing changed or i'd have probably done a Basil Faulty and kicked the sh*t outa the car! Wish i'd kept the tuner nuts i'd got from Driftworks - just plain chromed steel but so much better quality
  4. Got myself a little 4w panel, got it suction cupped onto the windscreen with crocodile clips onto the battery terminals. Only time will tell if it keeps the battery sweet - not sure when the car will be used again, just waiting on my new brakes turning up
  5. I'm not using my car much just now and was thinking one of these small solar panel trickle chargers would be a good way to keep the battery from discharging between runs. Anyone have or used one of these before?
  6. You could go for steel tuner nuts and paint the outside gold as mentioned above they have the key located inside so the exterior painted surface should never get scratched - you'd also be able to get the exact shade of gold you were looking for. Oh did i mention i have a set of plain chromed steel tuner nuts for sale in the for sale section?? hint hint LOL
  7. i had the 2nd -> 3rd occaisional issue - a g/box oil change with motul gear3000 and it all went away
  8. Happy Anniversary keef-b!

  9. the relay i got has my indicators working as the did when i had filaments in - the relay came from the states and i've no idea who the seller was.
  10. You're probably better off with jacking the car up and putting it on axle stands. I've got a set of ramps and my Gen 7 cannot drive forward onto them without the front lip hitting the ramp before the wheels make contact - makes the ramps kinda useless! The car can be reversed onto them but you don't need the cars arse in the air to change the oil do you?? -
  11. I got my tuner nuts from driftworks - they are just plain chromed steel but as mentioned above i wasn't too keen on getting aluminium/alloy tuner nuts when you read the horror stories with regards to them sheering and leaving half the nut stuck to the stud. Driftworks also do a matching set of lockers too link to driftworks shop / tuner locking nuts link to driftworks shop / chromed steel tuner nuts On searching for the links i've just spotted they do these in a black finish aswell as the chrome.
  12. On Arnold Cockbag's forecourt - After i've spent 18 months with it - Most of the changes are not external . . . apart from the wheels and the exhaust ( which you can't see in the pic anyway!)
  13. the LED's i have in my sidelights are just like that except longer with 13 LED's on it - much brighter - i did have a set the same as those but felt they were too dull to use on the car.
  14. my fiancee says "it's a girlie car" but she said that about my MR2's also - didn't complain about the scooby or cossie though - go figure! She doesn't bother about the car but can't stand that i'm always messing about with it or buying stuff for it - but guaranteed when i'm on nights and out cold during the day her diesel disaster peugeot never leaves the driveway and my celica is never in the same position i parked it in when i came in that morning . . . . . . . . .
  15. And some well proportioned scantily clad "detailing experts" to apply the uber expensive wax for you while another of their "collegues" fed you individual peeled grapes as you layed back and relaxed on your lazy boy observing that their over stressed bikini's didn't graze your paintwork . . . . . ahhhh to dream the dream lol
  16. "delivered in a personally engraved acrylic casket" I'd be put in a casket and buried if i got caught paying that for 2 tubs of wax for my car - 75p for a 200ml tub of "hard wax" from my local cash n carry does me fine LOL Probably incredible stuff but the ingredients list sounds more like shampoo . . . . .
  17. Nice parts man at my local Mr T always throws a sump plug washer in the box with my oil filter for me - i honestly though they came with the filter . . . . .
  18. 3SGE engine? Oil level sensor is on the sump near the drain plug if i remember right. They do go and will illuminate the orange light as stated above. The pressure sensor located higher up on the block/head will illuminate the red oil can warning light and thats the scary one! A new oil level sensor from Toyota is around £130 - alternatively just pull the plug from it, bridge the terminals of the sensor with a bit if thin copper wire and re-attach the plug. Light goes out and as long as you check your oil regularly you are fine - also means ALL the warning lights will still come on when you turn the ignition on
  19. Invisible Dark (Chris) - Edinburgh Aftershock - Edinburgh PJ Metal Head - Edinburgh/Penicuik? Grey Racer - East Lothian Kny - Edinburgh Gstraw - Glasgow Briano - Greenock? jdmawd - ??? Quiagy - ?? keef-b - north ayrshire
  20. i just ordered 3l of motul gear 300 75w/90 from opie oils - fully synth. gl4/5 stuff to do my gearbox next week.
  21. standard toyota 17's for a Gen 7 are ET38. easiest way to think about it is the higher the offset then the further inside the arch the wheel will sit. there are ways to play around with it to get the look you want - you can get wheels with a low offset to sit out at the arch but these tend to come in the wrong stud pattern to fit a G7 or you can use spacers to shift higher offset wheels out to where you want them to be. I choose the second option and got a set of ET45 wheels that were originally on a Civic type R and fitted a set of Freakyparts 27mm bolt on spacers.
  22. I had similar sound ot this, just reached through the spokes in the wheel and pushed the dust shield behind the disc back a bit - sorted. Not sure whether it was something caught in the gap between the disc and dust shield or the dust shield itself catching on the disc after getting smacked by a big bit of debris. Either way just pushing the dust shield back a bit solved what can only be descibed as a metallic screaching from my hind quarter!
  23. The 18" KEI velocities on my car have 6.9kg stamped on them - for a comparison the "dynamic" 17" alloys weigh 10.3kg each.
