  1. I think black actually, then the attention isnt drawn away from those wheels
  2. Saw this was on,looked interesting then forgot to record it  im sure Dave will repeat it ad nauseum.Gen6 you say?Hmm still slightly out of order, ill check it out
  3. Right i've decided, keep the car.Save some money. 3SGTE it later on when you got the money.260BHP out of the box with no silly overboost problems, standard ECU,decat and a quality exhaust.Pleeenty fast enough, and you can go for a LSD later maybe .The cars darn well almost a GT4 anyway, just needs a bit of fire in its belly. If it was a run of the mill GT i wouldnt bother, but you got a sweet solid car that looks really nice,ssIII goodness and a shitload of sentiment.Sorted.If youre going to understeer,do it in style.
  4. If you can afford a faff and run it,then go for it.You've a lot of doubts about this mate though haven't you, which tells me you really have an affinity with your car thats a bit more than ownership and a search for a power buzz..
  5. The 2.0 Twinspark is a cracking engine mate,in fact its perfect for the car because, the V6,lovely as it is,was a hefty lump and the balance of the car wasnt as great. Also the proper manual 'box is a must, not the Selespeed thing that is rubbish.Like i say, costs are always an issue if you end up spending out,as long as its serviced properly and has had a cambelt by 50k then theyre very good.I used an independant Alfa specialist who was a true enthusiast and costs werent massively cheap admittedly, but labour was a good third less than a dealer.Roomy enough but not as big as you think. And if im honest if you bought an Alfa with a diesel engine i would probably have to come round and do unspeakable things as that is a crime against humanity
  6. 4 door car thats exciting to drive. and don't believe all the horror stories, mine (this) was top notch for 4 years because i did my homework and got a goodun.FSH all the way or bust. The later models are a lot of car for the money, they're Italian, quicker than a 140,(a 190 won't exactly leave it for dead either)handle and brake better if you get the right model, and have a boot.Just a thought.
  7. WOW that is the most mental thing i've ever seen....the old chap had all those cars sitting there, and the good thing is it looks like the right person has taken them all on,which is brilliant. And he's got brand new panels in boxes as well!I'm stunned, really am.And yes, nice mention for Simon on there too, class.
  8. Very nice job Mondo:mind you,Paul, whats with the hangmans noose in the passenger footwell?
  9. Four wheel drifting with a fsssshhh past stuck BMWs in the snow is one of life's pleasures loved it!glad you look like you're keeping the GT- four,at least til I can buy it off you.LOL .
  10. I'll find out regarding a rev1 ge as I might be putting my car on the rollers in November with ADL racing for interest, hopefully hit 3 figures LOL
  11. A good body work man is a bloody good person to know, like a good honest mechanic.
  12. Assume you've seen their work Rich?Especially being in red,you want it right.I had my car 'blown over' for about that price, wings bonnet and bumper but if you want a proper full prep job i'd have thought it'd be more expensive than that.Worth checking it out if you can ah didnt see your reply before i posted

  18. I've got a 182 manifold which I'm going to fit to my 162, as they're less restrictive than the stock gen4 header.I want to heat-wrap it though for maximum efficiency,so any recommendations from those of you that have done yours, what make, how much to use/ cost, fixings etc or advice be much appreciated thanks.Rather than crawl the ' bay and end up with tat.
