  1. Ha yeah unless they see the back end theyre not sure. The ones that do realise always say "Is that the Turbo 4 wheel drive one then?" and i have to admit,"No,its not"
  2. Had a fella wander over at Sainsburys and ask me what my car was on saturday, while his mate was jetwashing his very muddy Land rover.I probably get more attention of that sort than i do people waving or whatever, though i have had the odd thumbs up from a couple of other Jap marques and a VW owner with a euro style slammed Golf before now
  3. A good custom exhaust manufacturer would make one up to your spec,if you want it quiet then that's what they'll do for you.
  4. Dont think ill ever do mine myself again ,it was a royal pain in the ass.Ill save my pennies LOL (and my patience)

  6. I hate seeing threads like this come up. Hopefully you can get it done then, but what a bummer.
  7. Superstrut is awesome and a potential pain in the ass all rolled in to one!
  8. Well put sir. and i think the time off work plus expenses incurred would have to be seriously looked into if everything turns out as hoped.
  9. Gen4 verts on here you don't find every day....only supposed to be around 250 UK models supplied, there may have been more but i bet there's not many on the road taxed and running...Wayne (chan110)'s got a JDM gen4 vert....even rarer. same with ST165s,not many of those either. My 162 doesnt have a rusty sunroof or wings/arches,so i'll count that as rare too.
  10. Been well impressed with Pagid on mine but by buggery they chuck off some residue
  11. yeah wouldn't hit panic stations just yet,do the above and see
  12. Just checked myself as a i have a spare ,so yeah the numbers the same cheers Princy. Was hoping to get the one with the moulded nut on though have to admit.Still cheap as chips though
  13. Was getting mine for the gen4 from Cottonfilters but it seems theyre not trading, dont know if the 4 and 5 are the same but can find out.Cheers for the link
  14. Like the Cinnabar one definitely.Underrated and rare colour
  15. Did wonder.Still sounds like they did the job though
  16. Ah so thats snow socks then, never seen them before.so if you got intermittent bits of say tarmac ,would they just tear themselves up or is it a case of as you need them for proper snowy conditions thats kind of immaterial? That spring was definitely after escaping wasnt it!
  17. Got Nightbreakers on my gen4,have to say i dont see any yellow to them TBH like the OEM ones were.Oh and i can see where om going now too, which is a handy thing

  20. Was that for a cat back system then, assuming you're after twin exit one each side at the rear of the car ?If so then yeah itll be more expensive than the single exit.Mine was just shy of £400 with a single box system,4" slash cut Magnaflow tip
  21. Toyed briefly with the idea of having a bit of time at the BHP show at Lydden, few of the guys from the Kent Car club went on last year and it looked a good track to have a pop on,though later while we were there one or two people were going a bit silly, one guy in an old Metro which was obviously tuned was driving like a complete twat, the second time he nearly completely lost it he was pulled by the marshals ,stopped his day and was bollocked much to the amusement of the crowd. I did think however that if id been out there there was a good chance of being walloped by a twat like that and after all the work ive put into my car, then just going on track as part of a show where you could end up on track with any Tom Dick or Harry isnt worth the risk to me and put me off so i wont do it this year when i go in May.Maybe do it as part of an organised day with a club or something,i think the Kent club were toying with the idea of having some time on there with just their members on,which is a lot more appealing though i would spend most of my time looking in my mirrors as they all seem to have Monaros and Saleen Mustangs amongst the guys these days LOL
  22. I highly recommend Powerspeed in Ashford Jamie, did a great job building mine, and customer service was great. Edwardio and Nthnmunky had their big power gen7 systwms done there, which is why I went. www.powerspeed.co.uk Part of Fast Road Conversions. 01233 662225
  23. Ha Rich that is awesome some good debate here, like I said though you do have to think about what you do with a rapidly deflated tyre on the side of the road when youre not going to have bits of wood everywhere.
