  1. On a positive note , at least it wasn't a tattoo.. My pic of the day , mine alongside my mates TA22 at a classic show last weekend
  2. I was in the Z Club (and TEC) back in the early 90's , and the Z Club organised the Japanese Classic and Sportscar Days at Goodwood '92 and Aintree '93 ( I went to both ) They were not called Japanese Auto Extravaganza From memory , after those shows things then moved to Billing , with the Z Club Convention and the TEC National , when they started inviting other Japanese car clubs , which got bigger and bigger and ended up being billed as JAE in 1997 I'm not normally so pendantic , i just think it odd they saying it started in 1991 , wen it didn't althou could just be a genuine mistake , getting a 1 and a 7 mixed up
  3. Looking at the T shirts on the JAE website and see they have got Est. 1991 on them I am pretty sure that JAE started either 1996 or 1997 , not 1991
  4. Heres the results for the GT4 and the vert , GT4 made more than the estimate. don't know if that's the hammer price or if it include the buyers commission https://www.glenmarch.com/cars/results/quick/Toyota/Celica?unsold=1 The 1977 ST is in the August auction https://mathewsons.co.uk/auctions/auction-dates/vehicles/10791-expected-for-july-sale-1977-toyota-celica-st According to the DVLA is not been taxed since 1986 !

  7. Thankyou The weather was total opposite to Clumber Park couple weeks ago ! It was very windy and raining all day , which spoiled it , other than that it was good , i was suprised how many cars were there given the weather ( guessing about 300 or more ? ) can only imagine how much bigger and better it would of been dry.. The Motor Museum was very good Here a pic for general idea of the weather

  9. Dont see many in black , but they do look good ! Wish mine was black.... I dont know if this is where you got the pic from , but if not and you havent seen it heres a vid of this car
  10. After flicking through a couple of classic car mags in a shop today , it does indeed look like this is coming into being next year But according to some articles i have read there is a grey area surrounding modified cars. heres a quote from one article i read here http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/chevrolet/5736/40-year-rolling-classic-car-mot-exemption-announced My car has just turned 40 , but is modified. It has an 18R-G twin cam from an RA28 GT fitted , so i may well still have to mot it. But even if it does become mot exempt , i will still put it in for a 'mock' mot once a year anyway , just to make sure it's roadworthy and safe for the roads I dont have an issue with having to mot it , finally becoming tax exempt is good enough for me !
  11. I wouldnt believe everything a computer generated voice in a random youtube video tells me ! !
  12. Wow , your TA23 was a bit crazy ! ! Here's one , not mine i hasten to add ! Although for some strange reason i do quite like the grill , would look good an a matt black/rat RA28
