  1. Hey Ive decided i need to get a torque wrench, just not knowing how much to torque bolts is not ideal. So which one should I get that will serve me for all my car stuff from engine work, brakes and alloys to name but a few. Ive seen a few on ebay for £20 or so...are they good enough? also what range of toqeu? ive seen one which is 15-80Nm and another is 28-200Nm...not sure which I should get. Also maybe a possibility of a GB as ats something a car must have thanks in advance
  2. actually it would be a useful sticky to have the camber and toe settings for all the Celicas out there
  3. Fully wrapped for £800??? Thats a total bargain but I would beware- he might just do the bare minimum (i.e the top only) I would expect to pay £1200-£1500 for a wrap and £1000-£1300 for a spray paint job. Try PMing Rich at Wrappers delite- he has pretty good reviews and prices. You are getting a few things wrapped to be fair and wrapping is harder than spray painting. In spray painting you prep the surface and stand back and spray but in wrapping you need to cut the vinyl correctly then re-apply it if you catch any air bubbles etc. HTH
  4. Where else can you get a 3D computer alignment done? are you meaning that the computer alignment picked up things the laser never so its better to get the 3D Computer alignment done?
  5. What do wrc stand for? Can't see anything on google for wrc alloy wheel or buckling or straightening etc Thanks
  6. Greyracer- do you have a numer for wrc? Or a website? I need to get my wheels unbuckled now lol
  7. Two of my fondmetals have buckled I need to get them straightened out. One is very very slightly and the other ir noticeable. Is it a good idea to unbuckle alloys or should just new ones be bought? cheers
  8. No way really? I need two new ones cuz I drove over a pot hole and they are slightly bent now. No place does them brand new??
  9. I don't like low profile tyres that much, look like rubber bands lol. I actually upped my profile by 9mm web I went for 215/47/17. Looks much better in the arches and the car looks lower because arches are more full now Fallen are meant to be good for the price then next up Toyo which are better but about 15quid more per side Check camskill.co.uk and tyretraders. People rave about black circles but I find them totally overpriced tbh! Hth
  10. cool stuff guys, im glad there is a demand for it. didnt realise the quality was poor from groundingkits
  11. Just a quick question, can you not make them cheaper since it's like a group buy? They are £42 delivered on grounding kits.co.uk which is quite a tried and tested site and many members have bought from there. I'm interested in a red one but prob at a gb price of around £30 If it's something your just about to get into and can't make them any cheaper I would prob advise against it due to competitors. Hope some of that was useful Cheers
  12. A common scam people do is they pay for the item via paypal then ask to meet you to collect so you have the money and your happy to give the item. Then they wait 2 weeks then file a dispute with paypal saying item jot received an they have proof of paying. Paypal then email you and say either send the item or if you have sent it please provide us with a tracking number. You Obv don't have one and the funds are reversed after a few more weeks. It seems harmless at 1st but its a subtle scam...no western union plus u meet the person and effectively they have paid in full. So what I'm saying is make sure it is cash and not him saying oh I'll paypal you instead like the day before. Also get your log book and make sure it's filled out to say you have sold the car and make up a receipt. I would also ask for 2 forms of id A common scam people do is they pay for the item via paypal then ask to meet you to collect so you have the money and your happy to give the item. If he thinks it's a hassle he won't bother but if someone really wants a car, their driving license is usually on them and they can pick up their passport or scan it. Receipt is important also in which you can write sold as seen. Type one up and make two copies. Lay it out well and not just a single line at the top of the page. Have the eBay id number the date it was listed, the date it was sold, a pic of the car and eBay listing, name and address of the buyer(ask for utility bill). Also be prepared to also show him what you are asking from him like your utility bill and passport etc. Keeps it mutual Hope that helps and it covers alla avenues best of luck! P.s I'm working in Aberdeen and everyone here is an oil worker lol so don't be put off by that I don't think
  13. I've had alcantara for my roof for ages but not had a chance to do it yet. How much would you take to retrim the roof liner and sun visors if I supply material? Cheers
  14. Yea they are meant to be the best. On sale at the autosave Scotland eBay store. They post uk wide though
  15. What I've kids wanted is a very very very subtle glow of White under the car...not quite the lines neons give. Is thee anything for this? I was thinking of wiring in a few LEDs and positioning them in strategic places to get an even glow?
  16. ah right thats what it means....bugger!! thanks though
  17. Im feeling inclined to get the black steel ones because they will be sturdy at least and not be like cheese, its more about if I take the car to the garage and they use that air gun to put them on. Also has anyone ever had the bolts nicked? like not the alloy wheel, but the actual 4 bolts on each wheel? Finally, does anyone know what the "seat" is like for the fondmetal tech 5 rims? the seller of the bolts asked me so i can find out if the nuts will fit. thanks!
  18. thanks for the replies lads, Sam, ive no idea if they will work....didnt even know there was a difference tbh! anyway I can check? Im quite temped with the steel ones because its the look/colour im after rather than the fact they are lightweight...I would notice more difference with lightweight alloys before the nuts I think lol Joe, I cant find that guy at all, can you PM me maybe with a link? Harwood your wheels look lush!! But I know what was meant earlier about a full set, think I would want my locking wheel nut to also be the same colour/style. Is this how all bolts come or are there bolts out there that offer locking nuts also? thanks
  19. Hey What did u mean about make sure I get all the nuts to ensure wheel balance? I was planning to get 5 nuts per wheel since thats what my wheels take...is that what you mean? Harwood, any deals on the go? sort me out bro! I'll PM johnyboy, - are the Rays nuts better than Tegiwa? I just want some that look nice on also any close up pics of the tegiwa or rays fitted? thanks!
  20. Hmm I see. Do you think they were worth the money? Also are you able to take a pic of yours fitted? I can't seem to understand how they would look fitted because they bolts look funny shaped. How many times have you taken them off and is is a normal socket set that you need? Take it the hex shape is on the outside then? Also anyother people have aluminium bolts please feel free to comment on your experiences even I they are not Tegiwa Thanks
  21. Hey Was wondering if anyone has got by Tegiwa aluminium wheel bolts and what they think if them? Are they too soft and as the hex shape on the inside or outside? Thinking of getting a set of black ones but don't want them to look all worn and bashed after a few times of the wheel being off Thanks!
  22. I would defo get short shifter then a tow hook
