  1. Black's black. All the same really........ That does look really nice though!
  2. Which overlays did you get? Was it the rear lights?
  3. It comes with some pretty detailed instructions with each overlay set. So its pretty straight forward by the looks of it. Basically spray soap and water on before applying overlay. I also (and dont know if this is right but it's what i normally do when applying over overlays) wet my fingers slightly as if your fingers touch on the vinyl they have a tendency to leave marks on the sticky side. then. give the underside of the vinyl a very light spray. Then. apply and position corectly. I had some fly eye and still have the credit card applicator that came with it so use that to squeegee out all the water. then. hair dryer to warm and make sure it wraps smoothly. I'm doing mine tonight so will try and take photos during
  4. Yup the bluebat ones I've got a spray bottle I bought off ebay just for this job so will put it all in that and mist it on Thanks!
  5. That would make sense - I was thinking of hand soaps as well I've got some fairy liquid kicking about so will use that! Don't have any baby shampoo though - unless I can use my normal head and shoulders I knew someone on here would know Thankyou!
  6. This may be a stupid question.... But I have some headlight overlays to apply that need to be applied using "soapy water". Is there any specific soap that should be used? Or any specific soap that should be avoided? I know the main thing is the preperation which is no problem, but application with soapy water made me wonder "with all the different soaps out there, does it matter which one?" Just incase any cause damage to the vinyl or if any that contain alcohol to kill germs may cause problems....
  7. Cheap compressor if needed.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001EX2UJG/ref=nosim/?tag=hotukdeals-21
  8. Aerial chop doesnt really affect reception. I had fine reception on the radio an when I had the car it had been cut off completely to the tip. Check my mod thread and more recent pictures of the car to see mine and get perfect reception De-aerial and get an internal one though! Thats my plan
  9. My mini had lights under the doors and they worked really well.....
  10. Whenever I've seen them fitted they always looked visible from a few feet back... That's why I thought these may look better. You've also then got the issue of where to run the cable for the lights as well, so unless you lift the trim and jam it under there you'd have to drill a small hole to not have wires trailing from the door.
  11. LED lighting across the bottom always looks a bit "stuck on". I've just found these which look like they would light up nicely, and, would look like they where meant to be there with the car.... Quite professional if you install them right link
  12. Personally - I think they look tacky. BUT. I love the way that they fit... Rather than running an LED strip across the bottom this would be a really nice way of fitting the lights... Wonder if there are any that a just plain that light up. I liked this effect on my last car which had it as standard. I'd just want a nice evenly distributed light rather than a simple "circle" on the floor though.... Wonder how I could achive this......
  13. My last T-Sport was storm blue. But. This is definitely black and advertised as black. So knew it was from a 140
  14. You're right. If I was bidding on something then I most certainly wouldn't post it. BUT. If someone came on here and posted the link to what I was bidding on it wouldn't make any difference to me. I'd have my maximum price set, and thats it. If I was outbid then thats that Also - after 5 days and no bids there was only the starting price. I wasn't bumping it up. If this was the case then we really shouldn't post any ebay links on here at all unless it was a buy it now. Whether listed correctly or not. "Just in case".
  15. Well - posting this didn't seem to make any difference I'm more than happy to say if a cheap set of tech 5's come up if someone posts them on the forum I wouldn't mind. I just wouldn't post it myself. So hope posting the link was ok. Whoever it is grabbed themselves a bargain!
  16. See! Some good has come of this.... Does anyone know the difference between a 140 K&N SRI and a 190 version?
  17. It's the price I'll pay. Guess I'll just have to wait and see if there are any angry responses
  18. I think it was basically a 140 with a GT bodykit I'm guessing that as he's selling a K&N Typhoon kit as well which is fora 140. And it's in black. GT's where never available in black Wish I could have the K & N Typhoon kit
  19. Link I know it's been discussed on here about posting links before, but came across this and I see no harm in posting it. No bids, and a week auction by the looks of it so figured now might be a safe time to post... Anyway. He says its for a facelift (judging by the years) and in solid black (which makes me doubt its from a GT). So far it looks like it could be a bit of a bargain! It's also a shame that the 140 K & N Typhoon kit wont fit the T-Sport as I'd put a bid in on that unit if I could!
  20. More a question here... For those that are saying this ISNT law. The police note that monkey boy was given states on the bottom that vehicles shouldn't exceed 82dB. This isn't hand written. This is typed. They have these forms made up. So somewhere it must be law that that's the case surely? I'm not saying it's right. I'm just pointing out that. Mine's probably louder than that. Just wondering why they have forms printed like that if their isn't a law..
  21. I honestly don't think a celica would suit that wrap. But a bike would look awesome if its the right bike!
  22. Drop me a PM and let me know how much it would be.. And if you can suggest an alternative I'm all for it tbh. Just want something that feels good, looks good, and will be reasonably hard wearing Figured alcantara would be the best bet but if you can recomend something else then I'm up for it! Just needs to be black as going matte black on my interior and exterior bits so would be nice to blend accross
  23. How much are you wanting to spend? £100 will get you the lining, and the sunvisors re-trimmed in genuine alcantara by hide n seat interiors....
