  1. Indeed. Sky insurance charged me nowt for change from tte springs to meister r coilovers
  2. Yes and quite likely all having gone through using several sets of parts from all the deceased ones
  3. I didn't think skyline was the model as the Nissan Infiniti v35 is badged a skyline.
  4. Looked up how many 190s were registered and surprised it was only 2188
  5. Hi there. Don't suppose anyone has the adjustment tool for the Gen 7 meister R coilovers and could bring it to japshow finale on Sunday? Cheers
  6. Which isn't for sale yet
  7. I wonder if the o2 feedback on the apexi would be any better if we actually left a wideband o2 sensor in place. The difficulty is that tuning is done with probe up the exhaust and that the afr is different than at the pre cat location that the apexi monitors o2 from as STD. I am assuming its the pre cat seeing as the jdm g7 only has this one and works fine with the apexi. As mentioned elsewhere with o2 feedback on the tune has to be done in a different way it else your entire tune gets subjected to the apexi trying to aim for stoiemetric even when giving it beans.
  8. Sticky now at top of gen7 section.
  9. The rim size matters too. 225/40/18 and 225/40/17 are different rolling radiuses. And to concur with Masiv, my 225/40/18's are practically spot on GPS vs Speedo.
  10. well my 2yr old just says weeeeeeeee when I put my foot down LOL.
  11. I have britax evolva 123 and a similar stage 3 (4-11yr) version for my 4.5yr old daughter. They both fit fine although the gen7 seat belts are quite short so only just. It's this reason that a lot of seats where the belt goes over the front of the seat rather than clamping the back don't tend to fit. The evolva 123 has built in harness to strap child in with. The stage 3 one uses std belt across front as per an adult using it but it only goes through one hoop at shoulder height so doesn't use as much belt as the 0-2 stage seats. As the gen 7 has no isofix points I do have to remember to clip the seat belt back across this one when not in use as it is not held in otherwise BTW my wife has the Toyota 0-2 stage seat as we bought it with the auris. It does fit mine but as it uses isofix I have to remember to retract the catches or it dents my seats lol. When we looked at it in more detail it was a rebadged britax Roma. Hence all 4 of our car seats are britax.
  12. It may be branded Tte but like trd they buy other stuff, put it together and slap their name on it. Eg Tte celica springs are eibachs. As to power Tte had it up at 225ps but Toyota detuned it to 215ps
  13. We paid in Aug and collected on 1st Sept 2007 to get a 57 plate so I guess latter end of 2007 starts then lol.
  14. My wifes 1.6 auris is 57plate and it says dual vvti on the engine cover?
  15. Micks interior and seats were damn good. I am contemplating Meister R coilovers at some point as the Tte springs have been on for over 6years now and the shocks (Oct 2001) are beginning to feel a little wayward. Mind you se7en and Nthnmunky had a reasonable list of stuff for mine (5mins and the list was up to coilovers, return fuel line, ap bbk, ripping out the divider plate LOL) most of which is already on yours so looks like I will be spending the same time just getting mine closer to yours as it is now.
  16. Mook, Blimey I walked past the hjc stand twice and didn't even realise your car was there. I wanted to ask about some stickers like you done on saddlebags. Doh!
  17. Well with price of fuel people are assessing the cost of cars and realising that 15yrs old cars are not worth the price.
  18. I have been looking for the original bodykit photos as its shown in white with blue accents and gold wheels in those and doesn't look too bad. However when looking for it I found this thread about a gen 7 converted to look like a ferrari 430 http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2011/03/it-came-from-ebay-hell-toyota-celica.html?m=1
  19. It's one of those undefined mysteries of the gen7 sportsm in that sod all appears to have been done to the engine and it produced 200ps vs 190ps. Was that down to the trd exhaust and ecu remap to narrow the margins on the type or fuel used. Afterall some of the gains I have will down to tuning it without causing knock which will be potentially lower on the super unleaded? I suppose if I had the bottle, seeing as my powerfc controller always shows me a live knock reading I could run it on 95ron rather than 99ron vpower and see what it shows but do I want to chance it lol
  20. I can not run on anything less as the car was tuned with shell vpower running through its veins, for several tanks. Boo LOL.
  21. Looks good have to say it though but is it any wonder car insurance is so much when they stiff the party at blame for £138 per day for a hire car. Just checked and prices were less than that for premium car class even before applying any discount codes so I would have thought the cost to insurers would be less due to bulk discount?
  22. I believe brake systems are split in two so that wheels on each diagonal are joined so that should one of the two halves of the system fail you still have one front and one rear wheel effectively, braking As its two diagonal opposite wheels getting hot it would suggest,a blockage in that half of the system? BTW I need to get mine sorted as I can brake once and all is fine but if I brake and then lift off and brake again the pedal, goes harder and effect of brakes is less fine if left about 10seconds. Tried it when stationary and I could hear a hiss on first brake press so which part needs replacing and I will, get onto sheep to book it in
  23. I think you may of misunderstood. My entire 4 piece bodykit cost just over £500. That is cheap for a genuine kit from the likes of trd or wingswest or kaminari etc
  24. Halfords never did any of the gen7 bits. Mine genuine ww 4 piece kit was bought direct from a US supplier - 8yrs ago but I don't believe they are trading any more. Hardly suprising when it cost £504 including shipping and duties as part of a massive celica-club group buy lol.
