  1. In hindsight, perhaps 'suffering from' isn't the best choice of words! Maybe 'enjoying' is more suitable....
  2. Good man! How many slaps did that take...? Best line from that ad? ",lambodoors kit(only left side, right side is normal)" Presumably so only your passenger looks a complete twat...?
  3. Annoyingly, I wouldn't be able to see all the bulb's funkyness anyway due to my projector's lenses. Still keen on hearing how they perform though.
  4. Any good? http://www.plaza7.com/en/2-h4-120-smd-led-white-headlight-bulb-head-light-lamp-p18044.html Now that's got me wanting to give these a go now... http://www.plaza7.com/en-gbp/h1-led-120-smd-led-white-fog-driving-parking-head-light-lamp-bulbs-p22681.html
  5. That's odd, that sounds exactly like the one Toyota was nice enough to supply in the first place.
  6. Seen this oil cap? http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/143565-greddy-boost-gauge-and-greddy-a-pillar-pod-holder-lonza-oil-cap/page__fromsearch__1
  7. Females Always Fastidiously Fellate...? What were we talking about again?
  8. The reason they're cheap is cos they're the bottom rung of the ladder 5mm ones. My blue ones are 8mm (£120 at the time). To be fair though, mine probably are slight overkill as it's not like I drive a full-on time attack car, is it?
  9. My '94 WRC had just over 57,000 under it's belt when I bought it, and now it's got just under 58,000. :-)
  10. How would you feel about getting a few of us that need paintwork doing together? Kind of a group buy thing, while one car's drying, we all help out of the other cars.
  11. I'd say have a go yourself. My faff has so many little bits that need doing I can use each section as practice, then maybe try doing a full spray at some point in the future. I was going to rattle can the worst bits, but I do have a compressor & gravity fed gun so using them might be the way forward. It's just a little more involved than a quick patch up though. I think I'll have to look into what other kit will be needed.
  12. If you can get hold of a stretchy cv boot kit, I'd say use one of them instead of the split kind. Used 2 on my gt4 & they're brilliant. They won't last as long as a traditional boot (but then again neither will a split one) but they're so easy to do, it's untrue. Well worth having to do them a bit more often for the hassle it saves you.
  13. Mr Rizla got his grille though, eventually... At least with ebay you can do more to get your cash back, should the worst happen.
  14. I was saying that 300bhp is achievable with a rev3 though, and that you'll need more boost to get that with a rev2. The clutch was mentioned too. Respect for the custom loom though. A 255 won't cause any hassles a fuel pressure regulator can't sort either. Actually, that's probably one of the only times fitting one would be of some use. Throw in a rev3 metal head gasket & you can go higher with the boost. A rev2 block is arguable stronger than a later model, so after that it's a case of how much your pistons can take. Mixer or goldspeed are probably good people to ask about that as they both run big power rev2's.
  15. That's handy for the shopping run then! You'll be needing all the '5p a litre off' Tesco's vouchers you can get! Boost = An insatiable super-go-juice habit! Just one of the facts of life!
  16. That's not limited to swaps, that's cars in general! As a very general rule, bigger injectors/turbo = new ecu. Source yourself an LSD gearbox as well or rather than creating the track slag you envisage, you'll just have ended up with a very expensive smoke machine!
  17. Wiring, MAP to AFM conversion, exhaust. That's the main hard stuff. How much it costs is up to how good your bargain hunting skills are. Wouldn't bother with a different ECU as the std one will handle 300 gee gee's & you'll be on std injectors anyway. Before you even start to think about power upgrades, I'd concentrate on getting a good solid engine put in, then upgrade over time. Then you'll not be without your car at all, things will take longer than you plan for. A swap with a time limit is a bad idea. A GT clutch will be maxed out around 300 (and you'll blatantly be ragging the tits off it anyway!) so upgrading to a better one during the swap is advisable. Don't forget brakes as well. I'm about 80% sure a gt's fuel pump is the same as a gt4's, but for extra piece of mind upgrade that as well. And a boost gauge.
  18. My build thread. http://www.celica-cl...__fromsearch__1 My advice? If you're even asking "how easy is it to fit a rev2?", then you should go with a rev3 engine. It's a lot less work, but more expensive with it. It's closer to 300bhp out of the box (my rev2 will easily make the same sort of power, but it'll have to run higher boost) and the wiring is more or less plug & play. Rev2's need re-wiring, among other things, they use AFM's instead of MAP sensors as well so they need adapting. I have the experience to do things the hard way & reap the benefits of the cheaper engine. If you want an engine swap in more or less kit form, go with rev3. The last thing you want is to half do a swap then have to get someone to finish it for you or do the wiring. If you do then you'll end up spending the same as a rev3 anyway. Power wise, it depends what the engines are out of. Rev2 can be ST185/RC/CS or SW20, Rev3 can be ST205 UK/Import or SW20. If you get an import ST205 lump, you'll have 255bhp (once serviced & running as intended), a free-flowing exhaust, de-cat, decent air-filter, boost controller & front mount intercooler should get you up to the triple ton. Or....... Just stay tuned to my build thread, then copy it. Depends how much of a rush you're in. £350 ain't a bad price for a complete rev2 IF the turbo is good. Compression test the engine if you can (see page 11 of my build thread for details).
  19. I used to properly take the piss with Paisley, because their set price list doesn't specify weight. If I was sending a door/wing/bootlid, I'd get a couple of old pallets, break them down into planks & build f-off big crates lined with tonnes of cardboard from my local shop. Every item sent like this arrived with zero damage. And you should've seen the looks on the courier's face when they turned up to collect! "this ticket says a bootlid @ 20kg! That crate looks more like 50kg" "Take it up with paisley mate, they're your customer, not me!"
  20. The problem is paisley have got zero involvement with the actual shipping of parcels. Paisley are an office in Scotland, nothing more. They have contracts with TNT & Citylink, among others, who are the people who actually ship destroy your items. It baffles me why they say they don't offer insurance on certain items, when items shipped direct through TNT & Citylink are automatically covered.
  21. Which will probably be an MOT fail IF you also have a passenger airbag & the mechanic doing the test notices that the airbag light doesn't come on when the ignition is switched on. Best get an electrical gizmo (think they're just a resistor anyway).
  22. Font changes like these are typical of text that has been cut & pasted from another source, usually another website. Not re-typing it or even trying to change it to match is just plain lazy.
  23. And the perseverance award goes to.....
