Gimba
I changed discs, adjusted the cog to take discs off, but how tight should it be now when doing it up? How stiff should the wheel feel with hand movement
Limeymk1
Toyota manual for the gen 6 says open up the shoes until the wheel locks then back it off 8 notches.
Jim881
Best thing to do mate. Is fully back them off and them put the hand brake on 3 clicks. Then adjust each one till you can spin the cog anymore. Take off the handbrake and make sure the wheels are free to turn. Job done. You can then at a later date adjust the handbrake cable as you've set up the drums properly. I did mine but couldn't get it any tighter so looks like I'll need a new handbrake cable at a later date.
