matt1280
Right here's the story! While I've had my st it's failed both mots it's been for! 1st one was original cat had failed, got a new one fitted and it passed. 2nd one was the new eurocarparts cat had failed! Thankfully it was under warranty and I had it swapped for a new one and got that garage to do the mot, and it passed. After the new cat was fitted my car seemed quieter and smoother, but then it went back to the usual sound of the exhaust and now I'm just worried there's something making the cat fail!? What are my options to find out what, if anything is wrong? And what could it be? I was going to get it terracleaned and then a new catback fitted with a new cat and then run it on vpower and use a bottle of cataclean every couple of months. What do you guys think?? ams
cats will usually fail quickly if the car is running rich - so have you chnaged your pre-cat lambda sensor?

Limeymk1
About £65 from TCB if I remember correctly. There is a test proceedure in the Toyota engine manual but you will need an analogue multimeter, a choccy block and a few spare bits of wire to connect it all to the diagnostics port.
