Canon4pics
Just curious if it matters what direction the grooves on discs face, and if so what are the effects of them being the wrong way?
Dan23
I'm pretty sure they are meant to go round the same way of rotation of the wheel, whether or not they are meant to only go that way, I'm unsure.
GreyRacer
Grooved discs should always be fitted the correct way around due to the reason of having designed grooves. The grooves are there to remove and dispel friction gases, brake dust, water etc. To do this the disc should be fitted so that it is all thrown to the outside edge of the disc. The inner part of the groove should come into contact with the pad first and the groove at the outside edge of the disc last. I hope that helps.
