  1. I'm lovin the club spirit in this thread
  2. Agree with Mill5y, if I had to get a "sensible" family car, I'd be looking for one of these. Looks like a bit of a sleeper too, so you could embarass the BMW/Audi crew
  3. The revvy engine is the cars defining charcter. They love been worked hard. Give it the beans a lot once warm and the car will reward you. They like being thrashed. My car ran so much better after a day on the track. No more bogging down at low revs etc. After market sound deadening can be added quite easily and cheaply, plenty of threads out there just do a search.
  4. I also have a nearly new pair of Yokohama paradas with 7mm on them, 205/40/17. Pm me if interested.
  5. I have a Toyo Proxe T1S 205/40/17 with 4mm on it. £20 collect or £30 delivered.
  6. T sport nuts are sleeved I believe.
  7. Why don't you speak to Martin in York? He's not far plus I think he will be over to brad to collect his powdercoated wheels from Tom won't he?
  8. I would use blue rim tape to cover the red, then they would look better...
  9. Yeah it made my eyes hurt reading that.
  10. The five spokes you flagged me up about Cheers again.
  11. I would like to call on the generous services of my fellow CCUK members and ask if anyone is coming up North from the Luton area to Yorkshire anytime in the next two weeks? Or evening to JAPS North on the 1st July. If so I would be very very grateful if you could collect a set of four wheels for me and bring them with you. I know its a big ask, but I have collected items for other members and will continue to do so in the future, otherwise I wouldn't be so cheeky in asking Many thanks in advance, Ant.
  12. I though 1kg lost from the wheels was equivalent to losing 5kg from the chassis? Or is that an urban myth?
  13. Cheers Rich, I have that site book marked along with a few others, but there are soooo many wheels out there its hard to track down the weights. I also think manufactures are reluctant to publish weights if they are 10kg or over as it puts people off who are interested in weight saving
  14. Those Inovit Tarmacs look great but im struggling to find a weight for them. The best info i could get was from a scooby forum from a lad who said he e-mailed inovit and they came back with "about 10kg"
  15. I think they look great mate. You want to sell them? I'm loving your powdercoated undercarriage
  16. Johny has got me on the pro race 1.2s as I've find they do them in 5 stud fitment in anthracite, here's a pic of a set for a mini http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/carreracaballo/6441787501/ Rich my tech 5s wouldbt fit as the calipers were too long if you know what I mean, the spokes were catching the top of the caliper. Heres a couple of pics with the finichis
  17. You got me exited then Rich but I remembered they are 16s and will in no way at all clear my calipers I'm afraid. My 17inch Tech 5s only clear with 15mm spacers fitted
  18. Sounds like a good choice then, I do prefer the look of the pro race 1.2s but they are about £140 more expensive and in 17 x 7inch they come in at 7.9kg. Johny, has your missus got the 16 inch then? I'm afraid they wouldn't clear my calipers. http://www.alloywheels.com/7x17_Inch_Team_Dynamics_ProRace_1.2_Racing_Flat_Black_Alloy_Wheels_Only
  19. I've been looking at these wheels in gloss black multispokes for the track as they only weigh 7.8kg per rim and are only £440 for the set brand new. I know these are a cheap wheel and won't be as strong as forged lightweight track rims but as i ll only be using them on the track and wont be playing "dodge the pot hole" on our roads the risks of bending them out of shape will be low. http://www.wolfrace.co.uk/wolfrace_news_details.php?newsID=58 Any info/comments much appreciated.
  20. They really do look superb matey, but I would lose the dice. Only my 2 pence worth those centre decals did they just stick on, or did you have to Laquer them once fitted?
  21. I think you just need spacers front and rear to bring them out a bit and they will look sweet. What profile are the tyres? If they are 40 prrofile, going to 45 next time you swap them will fill the arches a bit more too.
  22. I've rode with both and 45 profile is much better over our rough roads.
  23. Mate have you driven an S2000? They drive very similar to the 190, high revving, power at the top end etc The 2004 onwards model looks very good, but obviously only 2 seats and small boot. Depends how much you need the rear seats and boot, if you don't then the S2000 could be the way forward
  24. 6 years this Nov for me. I love the car and don't think I will ever get rid of her. Plus since I have made that decision it has become very easy to justify to myself spending whatever I want on the car haha
