  1. Neighbour is an 85 year old Victor Meldrew type. To give him his due he came round with his bow saw so we could cut it up and move it. He was also happy for me to get a quote for repair. He has been arse in the past and a younger me would have got a full quote for a buff/respray, but I've mellowed in my old age so told him to forget about it once I realised I could buff out the marks.
  2. I was just finishing off cleaning the car, working on the passenger front wheel when i heard an almighty crack and over my right shoulder I watched as the neighbours tree fell on the car: Absolutely gutted at the time. it took me and a mate to lift it off the car. Luckily the JDM spoiler and rear screen took the brunt of the impact and miraculously i managed to buff out the surface marks with Autoglymm super resin polish. No long lasting damage, result!
  3. You can always try Tuning Developments in Warrington. They tuned my car
  4. Found them on e bay now I know what to search for
  5. Haha thanks Paul, has anyone got any kicking around?
  6. Does anyone know what these are called They came with my 52mm gauges and I think they are to keep the sun off the gauge faces but i have no idea what they are called. Plus I'm on the look out for some more.
  7. I believe the "Fondumetal" alloys as fitted to most gen 7s are actually Italian, but the argument still stands as they are soft as shit
  8. Car looks great, nice to see another bright Gen 7 joining the fold. Those alloys need spacing out a bit to fill the arches. 15mm hubcentric spacers from H&R on the front and 22mm bolt on spacers on the rear from Freakyparts would finish the car off nicely
  9. Hi Javid, yeah I remember reading your post, but Joe just fitted the front one and said it was an excellent compromise. So I'll be doing that in the first instance
  10. MWR polybushes for front and rear engine mounts. Not bad at £40 a set delivered after a bit of shared postage with two other members
  11. This is appalling, I hope you catch the bastard.
  12. Happy Anniversary Serratia!

  13. It's hard to describe but essentially flock is millions of 1mm fibres stood on end, embedded in a resin-like material that's applied to the object you want to flock. It's very tactile and feels like velvet to the touch. It's quite hard wearing if done correctly and comes in a range of colours.
  14. Haha good call James. I'm hoping they will be some interest from members on here as no one does it. SpotV6 used to do it haphazardly but I don't even know if he does it at all anymore. Plus there is no one up North anyway Here is a pic of the latest batch of A pillars:
  15. I have the opportunity to buy a flocking machine. Anyone who has seen the things I have had flocked will know the quality of the work. Now, its an industrial machine, not one of the small hand held low voltage jobbies and hence its quite expensive. So I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in having any parts flocked like centre consoles, A-pillar trims, headlining, sun visors, interior trim maybe even dashboards. Basically if there is enough work out there to make it worth my while buying it then I might go ahead
  16. You can practice on Kev's car, he's not precious. Let's face it its a bit tatty anyway
  17. I have Iranian/Afgani car wash dude in Sainsbury's carpark who always come up and walks around the car asking the same questions every time LOL lots of thumbs up and smiles so it's all good
  18. They are such a good price from Toyota and sooo easy to fit. I have never fitted a more perfect fitting part, it was effortless!
  19. "Should it be whining like that? Yes....most defiinately YES!"
  20. GT4 is 25% heavier than the Gen 7 so I think a Rotrex Gen 7 in the dry with an LSD would have the GT4 from standing start or rolling start. I'd even like to think I'd have a chance at 247bhp and a weight 1145kg. Whats the power of a stock GT4? I'm pretty sure they weigh about 1440kg.
  21. Just dropped our lass at her friends house. Grandad was there to do the babysitting and he shouted from the doorstep "I LIKE YOUR CAR!" that was 3 hours ago. The old boy's got taste!
  22. There is actually a hairdressers at the bottom of my road called Vanilla. The woman who owns it drives a Thunder grey Gen 7........I always said Thunder grey was a girls colour LOL
  23. "Sick car" from the kids at my old school in Bradford.
