I have acquired some new shocks and drop links to go with my TTE springs going on to my Gen 7 soon as you am assuming the 26 year old shocks won't like bring dropped by 35mm or so.
The shocks are supplied without boots. Do the boots have to be an exact model number or is there a generic / multi fit option?

I feel silly asking.....
Where is the air con condenser?
My replacement radiator appears to be one rad with the 5 blade and 7? Blade fans? Never occurred to me as to where the air con cooling occurs and do I need to plan different when I try and drop my rad out this weekend? I was expecting, undo bolts, unclip hoses into buckets below, flush, replace, refit and fill back up with the expansion tank held high etc?

Original radiator is amazing ! Just taken a close look at mine and the number of fins bashed in from road rash is alarming.

Thanks.

You don't want to use any kind of modern OAT (usually the pink / red stuff) with any BLUE stuff in the system whatsoever - they combine to form what can be best described as thick brown goo. Goo in your cooling system, isn't good
Hi. Yes I have heard they shouldn't be mixed and so need to know how to empty one before switching. I will obviously be draining most of the system when I unclip radiator hoses and can then run a hosepipe to push blue out. But then that leaves me with ordinary water in the recesses so what should I do?

I am in the process of replacing power steering cooler tubing with a small dedicated radiator. Whilst I have bits out the way and a better radiator in the garage I thought it would be a good time to switch rads too. But I know I will need a little extra fluid to clean out the current BLUE coolant the car currently has. Hence looking for a little cheaper coolant whilst I try and flush old stuff out.

Hi all. Is there a significant difference between Toyota Red/pink long life coolant and say Euro Car Parts Triple QX Red Ready Mixed?
Thanks for any advice.

Problem solved
Turned out that I hadn't shut the boot properly after drying.
Sorry for wasting your time.
You beat me to it - small rag near boot catch stopped it shutting properly and you are correct that the fob then appears to be dead but key in lock still works.

you are right.

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post but I was intrigued by this fabulous looking car...

When my T Sport exhaust was removed to look at one hole we found three. So depending on price perhaps best to avoid that (assuming it is an exhaust).

I think they are the ones i tied - but not off ebay - went to bulb specialist website... Better than stock but still as bright as I would like.

You would think so but mine were one tab up and one down.... partly explains my poor light output! Passed recent MOT though?

Hi.
Just replacing headlights with Philips +130%.
I can't tell which way up the black plastic holder should be? And how fo I know which way is up for the bulb itself.
See the black tab - should it be up or down and is it dame both sides?
Found plenty of guide pictures but never pan out enough to see orientation?
I can't rely on current bulbs as they were different types and different wattage!! One was blue and 100w and one clear and 55w.

Hi, anyone tried CREE bulbs in their Gen 7 headlights?
Such as these

I just had my 2001 Gen 7 T Sport MOT'd for the first time in my possession - passed!!
Out of interest I used the GOV site to check on the old MOT's (as I have extensive paperwork showing old problems and repairs anyway so this was just idle curiosity).
These comments made me wonder if this MOT person had ever seen a car with under trays or engine covers before????

I am being a bit lazy - Been too busy to correct a few minor faults in the rear and removed all trim and half or rear seat squab and the seat back. Want to avoid the hassle of bolting back in just for a test and then take all out again - seeing as I have removed seat squab and back I will have a chat with local centre.

Hi, A simple question.
If I have removed a rear seat belt will the car pass MOT? Or do I need to refit before test?
