I have acquired some new shocks and drop links to go with my TTE springs going on to my Gen 7 soon as you am assuming the 26 year old shocks won't like bring dropped by 35mm or so.
The shocks are supplied without boots. Do the boots have to be an exact model number or is there a generic / multi fit option?
I think this is the motor Fensport are selling - Road legal Track Day GT86.... Very nice.
I am not linked to the people selling so I hope this doesn't break forum rules - just liked the image....
You beat me to it - small rag near boot catch stopped it shutting properly and you are correct that the fob then appears to be dead but key in lock still works.
I just had my 2001 Gen 7 T Sport MOT'd for the first time in my possession - passed!!
Out of interest I used the GOV site to check on the old MOT's (as I have extensive paperwork showing old problems and repairs anyway so this was just idle curiosity).
These comments made me wonder if this MOT person had ever seen a car with under trays or engine covers before????
"Advisory notice item(s)
Under-trays fitted obscuring some underside components
Engine covers fitted obscuring some components in the engine bay"
I am being a bit lazy - Been too busy to correct a few minor faults in the rear and removed all trim and half or rear seat squab and the seat back. Want to avoid the hassle of bolting back in just for a test and then take all out again - seeing as I have removed seat squab and back I will have a chat with local centre.
RCA it will be then (as I already routed the wires) but wasn't sure which would give the best results. I can adjust cut off on the head unit and also via a remote control on the small Alpine sub I have bought - will have to play around with settings to get the right result I think. Will probably replace the door speakers before trying to fine tune it.... any recommendations for 6.5" and tweeter with passive cross over for less than £80?
Hi, I was given a 12" EDGE subwoofer with amp already mounted on the side.
The output is fairly weak until gain turned up and then the sound is very crackled.
So how do i tell if the speaker is blown or a faulty amp?
i.e. Do I junk the lot or try just replacing the speaker?
I don't want a monster sound, just some better quality bass....
