    Nothing too glamorous...just a new 41cm roof aerial to replace the rather tired looking fibre glass jobby that was on there. Pretty much for visual reasons only as I seldom use the radio/cd...I'd rather wind the window down and listen to the exhaust...now that's MY kinda music..!! Neil

    Yep...I agree with Knighty/Arizona...it isn't always a specific "instance"...it is the subtle looks/attention the car gets when I'm out in it.....particularly if I blip the throttle...lol...and /or pull away in, shall we say, in a spirited manner.. :rolleyes: . I'm sure that many peeps don't actually know WHAT it is.!!!..but the shape/sound get's 'em every time..lol It never fails to put a smile on my face...and that's the most important thing. Neil

    Just back from a gloriously sunny week near Scarborough..the Celi did brilliant.!!...went a couple of times down to the Marine Drive in the evening..where generally all the local boy racers hang out in their go faster Corsa's and Saxo's etc..as I went past with the Celi's exhaust note burbling nicely (deliberately of course)..I actually got a thumbs up from a couple of them...LOL...NEVER had that before.! It seems I've "arrived"..lol Neil

    .When my mechanic took a nosey underneath the bonnet yesterday..he said "clucking bell"..or something that rhymed with it..."is it new".??..in the 7 years I've been dealing with this guy he reckons it's the best car I've had.! (apart from a Saab vert I had a few years ago..he's a Saab/Subaru expert..so he's a bit biased..lol)) I guess it would be churlish to disagree. Neil

    Quite right DQ....and love the Chilli Red bit.!...good on yer.!..there have been many times in the past where my own stupidity has left me breathless..lol...I shall no doubt continue to add to it. :rolleyes: Love the Ferrari comparisons.!!..the ultimate compliment.?..but how fitting it should be seen as a "supercar".!!     Yep...couldn't agree more, Funky...."pulling" is a side issue and, in my case, a dim and distant memory..lol I've only had a my Celica a week and it's already attracted so much positive reaction/attention..which doesn't half add to the satisfaction of owning one.!! Even the guys at my garage like it...and they usually tell me what a bag of sh1t I've bought..lol Neil

    Had my Gen 7 140 nearly a whole week.!!!! :rolleyes: ..but I already love it to bits..even though I think it's gonna cost me a new clutch as I'm pretty sure I have a worn thrust bearing. Neil
