    I used petrol to clean mine, got rid of all the built up carbon deposits, but the plastic is still permanently stained.

    I used this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000F6YX84?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00 on my celica tsport for 6 months outdoor storage, it covers well, and can be tied together underneath the car to stop from blowing away, it did blow off a couple of times though in the high winds, its a breathable cover, so does let a little water though, but also makes sure the car dries out again.
