  1. I would highly recommend one of rays ^^^^ carbon fibre ones, perfect quality, perfect fit
  2. Happy 3 Anniversary KeoGT!

  3. Yea how can lift in first kill the engine? Never heard that one before
  4. Haha, I've been watching my intake temps out of curiosity, I had an intake air temp of 39c before I even started the engine at one point
  5. Also don't forget that the warmer the air (less dense) then it's easier to travel through at higher speeds meaning less work for the engine. That's why when car manufactures like Bugatti are going for the highest speed possible they do it in the hottest place possible
  6. Put it this way, if it's 30c outside then with a stock air box, your intake temperature will be around 35c. People with SRI's will be getting intake air temps in the 40s
  7. Yea this is pretty normal behavior for a worn clutch, it's exactly what happened to mine. Eventually it got worse and when it got to the point that all I have to do is floor it to make it slip, I then got it changed but for now if you can make do without any launches for a while, you may as well get your use out of it
  8. Lol no worries done it myself enough times
  9. That's not what he was askin Thomas lol it still has amber indicators he just meant at the very end of the cluster there is another light I can't see why they would be illegal, just part of the sidelights to me
  10. He means usually the battery light should be on when the engine isn't running, but in his case that light isn't coming on
  11. Happy Anniversary KeoGT!

  12. Give it a good solid drive first, 10 miles minimum to give the battery a chance to charge and see how you go. If it starts to fail again then I would go for the battery. Also check to make sure you've got no 'electrical leaks' as in there isn't any interior lights staying on overnight etc. check the boot light as well. No harm in doing a quick check over before spending the wonga
  13. What about power and performance in honingham?
  14. What I don't like about mine Is now that since I've fitted my new exhaust, at a certain rev the handbrake button vibrates :S
  15. This video has been posted before bud
  16. I've just got a powerflow cat back system, and I have to say so far I'm extremely impressed, got a lovely tone to it I had a powerflow system on an old car which wasn't as good, found out it was just the guy who made it up wasn't very good Powerflow parts are good, you have just got to make sure you get the right guy who puts them together good Plus unlimited warranty (as long as you still own the car, next owner won't have the warranty) is a show in confidence
  17. I'd say just go with your gut, gt4s are defo rally beast but can quite easily be quite a comfortable and relaxing car..... Right up to the moment the turbo spools up lol I'm a gen 7 man personally but I do hugely see the appeal of a gt4 and it is the only celica I would have over my gt. I think it would do no harm in going to test drive one (if you haven't driven one already) and see how you feel.
  18. You couldn't be more right ams It's obvious fact that manufacturers make wear and tear parts 'wear and tear' quicker, it would be no surprise that they are doing it with the engines now in the only real way they can. It's a win win situation for manufacturers, the customer thinks it needs servicing less making them happy and 'saving them money' and the manufacturer makes more money in the long run from major parts and extensively expensive labour. What happened to the reliability revolution??
  19. So back to the very original question lol Stage 2 cams is my vote
  20. I went and test drove an ep3 before I test drove my gt and in all honesty I thought they were very even, if anything I almost preferred the ep because of it's gearbox. The main thing that put me off getting one was it seems like every tom dick and Harry has one. I went to quite a large meet in Great Yarmouth Sunday and the only celicas there were mine and a silver 140. I couldn't count how many ep3's and ek's and the odd eg were there. They're good cars, just too common for me
  21. 'Where are you taking it to get serviced?' 'At Toyota' 'Really!?' 'Yeah' (confused why he sounded so surprised) 'Isnt it a bit old to take it there?' 'o.O'
  22. Yea tbh I never truely understood oil, I only ever went on manufacture recommendation and that it was fully synth, apart from that I never understood what the numbers meant
  23. Apparently it was because that was the only way 'I could have known it was illegal/not illegal' and because the plod didn't perform a road side or official test it was enough Attleborough u say? I was in attleborough on Saturday I met up with Esthar_city to have a play with my spoiler brake light
