  1. That was only a part of it. Tried to fit the new scoop to replace Mr Bubbles..........and the holes in the replacement are too small for the existing screws. So, no scoop, no spoiler. Lots of holes for the rain to get in..........
  2. I got two of those freeee! I had a little tantrum as I had ordered waffleweave so they refunded my fiver. Felt a bit guilty as when I used them they were great! No idea. Just shut the boot and I noticed the blade bounce away from the post.
  3. It says racing circuit, not ricing circuit! Now I could do a slightly bogus but technically correct one over the weekend.............if I remember.
  4. My luck is so poopy I bought an original sports M spoiler.....................it broke at the Cheltenham meet on Sunday.
  5. I am about to fit the replacement. Wish me luck! what's the little knobbly bit above the word Toyota Jim? I haven't got one of those.
  6. happy to help. Would do the trip myself except no car, skill, knowledge or money, passport, sense of direction...........
  7. I am pleased to confirm a message left on your other thread, by donations at the superb meet yesterday at Cheltenham & Prescott Hill Climb, members here have popped another £60 onto your just giving page. GO Nads!!!
  8. Posted Today, 09:20 AM I can only comment on how Greenlight Would view it, but i think all insurers will be similar If the Vehicle does not have a valid MOT it should not be driven/left on the Road. Therefore the vehicle would not be insured if an accident occured with no MOT.....If the vehicle was parked off road say on the driveway and got damaged then the insurance company may still payout but that would be down to individual case circumstances. Some insurers will cover you drive to a pre-booked MOT at your local MOT centre but you need to check with each individual policy (Two of the underwriters we use exclude it in the policy wording). Basically if you want the answer if a vehicle is driven on the road without an MOT am i insured then the answer is most likely no. Kind Regards neil
  9. Yes, I have read it again and it is ambiguous. Was the off road lapse period the first off road period or the post accident off road period. As for invalidating insurance..........http://www.octagoninsurance.com/guide/tips/mot-means-car-insurance/ I will ask Neil @ Greenlight for his opinion as I have seen both expressed.
  10. The OP clearly states mot expired while car was off road. Get to the doctors and explain your symptoms and go through your insurance company.
  11. what is the point of a blonde bombshell wife if she remains a virgin?
  12. Entirely a matter of choice G. I wasn't sure Bought an Exeedy oem quality jobbie for £66 just because it was ridiculously cheap, but I had been looking for something a bit more beefy for months ..................... and naturally the day after I ordered the Exeedy the ACT popped up under £200. This means Liana_J is a very lucky mare indeed as she has acquired said Exeedy for a trifling £40 In use the ACT is just as easy to use as stock but bites harder and sooner as one would expect. I don't spank mine everywhere certainly, but when it is properly warmed we go from O to lift ummmmm briskly. Oddly next on shop list..........4 new tyres. As the slippage is under revs rather than load I did wonder whether it was spring related rather than plate related? Either way it was going to get replaced!
  13. I have a clutch issues thread about 6 months ago G. Exactly the same. Nailed it from lights 4 up. Car filled with clutch smoke. Son and his mates well impressed. Not! I was frankly unimpressed with a duff clutch under 70k when most of those were allegedly commuting on dual cabbageway. Otherwise drove absolutely fine. No problem with slippage uphill in high gear which is when I expected slip. Just on giving it beans from standing, which as I rarely did meant I got another 3 months use out of it whist I hunted down my choice of replacement. I shall now retire and watch the "which clutch?" deliberations. I vote ACT HD "Street" Overkill for a stock TSport but for the above reasons I regard stock as weak.
  14. You may well be right but it a hard subject to search on you tube. I did find quite a good one, but now.............I can't, sorry.
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Aa-ePBBGqQ If you don't mist properly the carbon blue chips will just sink in the wet paint and you will end up with plain black.......like on my centre console. DOH !!!
  16. Do you know about misting Chris?
  17. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Toyota-Celica-Luxury-Textile-Floor-Mats-Black-Tailored-PZ410-10357-DG-/251936471900?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3aa8957b5c These are the cheapest I can find. Not bad I suppose but I only need the drivers. The rest are still like new! £50 for one mat? pfffft! Huh? what is up with this site? That post wasn't there a minute ago????? and it's back in sloooooooooooooooow made. Bah
  18. If not sorted yet suggest you pm Mondo who knows all things re leather.
  19. Sly, no one seems to have answered your Q re what Compound is. It is a fine grinding solution ie an abrasive which is good for bring a shine to clear plastic, but you should lacquer them now or the haze will return as in effect you have sanded of the original glaze or what was left of it. The white left on your engine plastics was the fine grit of the compound which becomes visible as it dries. I just use soapy water and whatever tyre blacking product I have to hand. hth
  20. Bill says "Very Nice mate!" I am crap with face book. Any chance of popping a link up here please Chris?
