  1. Thanks for the advice Shocks, makes sense when you think of it. I was also advised to put masking tape on the inside of the screen under the damaged area to help show it up.
  2. I have some coming in the post, the scoring isn't too deep as it doesn't catch on my finger nail so hopefully it will polish out.
  3. Poxy Sparco aero wiper blade collapsed in heavy rain the other day and I now have scratches on my screen  Short of a new screen, does anyone know of anything that may at least polish the marks out a bit ?
  4. Thanks for the replies, I was more concerned with ones to avoid, I borrowed a workmates U380 yesterday to check & clear a CEL as it happens !
  5. I am looking to buy myself an OBD Reader, I have just had a look on e-bay and there are plenty to choose from, to the point of confusion, so what i would like to know is which ones are good and which ones to avoid. Opinions and recommendations please.
  6. Daytona, Whilst your under that rock you might want to run a spell check on your signature.
  7. Oh yes !!! Mr Geldorf, I have to disagree with you, I love Mondays, well this one anyway. Love the car, seriously impressed and oh I do think lift could become addictive !!!!! Our household looks like an advert for toothpaste or something as there is myself and my lad (who has now got the 140 for a few months) both walking round with stupid cheesy grins ! I haven't taken any pictures myself but if your interested, search in the Modifications section and use "RoryK" as the search, you will find his mod thread there and that will show you it in all its loveliness
  8. Hmm ' hadn't thought of that one. Just for now, so we don;t take a stupid financial loss, we are going to sell my youngest sons Mk 3 Fiesta which should sell easily and we are going to let him use the 140 for a couple of months, needless to say he is pleased ! In the mean time, if anyone in the club want's to buy it, it will still be available.
  9. Thanks Brian, I am on Night shift at the moment so sleeps in the wrong place as well !
  10. I am excited, Monday is almost here, thats when I pick up my "new" Celica from Rory K, I am to become the proud owner of his lovely Gen 7 190 T-Sport :D Rory had done all the things to his car that i had planned to do to my Gen 7 140 so it seemed so logical to just buy his one !, I also gain a better spec' and 2 years younger. Rory has said that he is glad its staying in the club which it will, I will also be doing a few little bits & pieces to it as you do I am however dissapointed that i still have not been able to sell my Gen 7 140, I have advertised it on hear, e-bay and Autotrader, (only 3 time wasters from A/trader) :( Someone buy it, you know you want to !!!!!
  11. Try it with some jump leads to a known good car/battery, if she starts up quick and fine then your battery is on it's way out.
  12. There are lots more detergents in the flush oil.
  13. I certainly would, surprising the crap that can come out, the couple of times I have seen it done.
  14. It could also have been a vvti 140 (!) bhp version.
  15. There is also the Prime Target for the Grammar Police, the miss use of the words "to and too, and also, but not as common "two".
  16. Yep, my Lagoon Blue G7 had it's cloaking device operating today as well, both Renault drivers !!!
  17. Jack it up one corner at a time, chock the other wheels, spin the raised wheel and check each brake in turn, sounds like a dragging caliper.
  18. Yes I know how that works ! I should have clarified, I meant are they claiming "prolonged service intervals" ?
  19. Hmm, I wonder if they could bottle the Nanoparticles and make it an additive for your normal oil, probably not though, they couldn't print the patented Magic Production Incantations on the can. Impressive but blooming expensive, I didn't notice any mention of recommended change periods, will probably be O.K. for the weekend warriors but not the high mileage DD's
  20. Sometimes transport companys will do you a deal with a return load rather than them comming back empty (they don't like that), check those nearest to you.
  21. Welcome to Celica Club UK Ownleemee :)
