My battery felt as it was struggling too. It looked bloody old so I replaced it. Much better. Guess how old - I think 8years+ judging by the old Halfords branding.

Cheers, makes sense now. I've had HID's before ( in my old E36 COUPE) - Not really fussed about have them now just want a whiter light so i'm just going to get some normal 5000k lamps.

Why are HID bulbs longer? Surely HB3/H7/or whichever is the same no matter if it's HID or not?

Gumtree is usually free and it's just an extra avenue to spread the word about your car. I've sold a phone on there before so I guess it works.
