  1. Nice man! That's the way. I mean if it's a good strong car, you can get away with those bits and bobs being on it as you can repair it - it's just when the seller doesn't say anything about it. Well pleased for you
  2. If you're having trouble polishing that scratch out, you could try wet and dry sandpaper with ultimate compound if someone hasn't mentioned it already? I've had a huge success out of using it as you can see: If you want a guide to how I did it give me a shout bud
  3. Wheels: 205/45/17 Spacers: 17mm front, 22mm rear Springs: 35mm Apex Just to give you an idea
  4. Someone posted this a while ago but it didn't seem to work. Just to say that it's working now and I've added my info and car statistics. You have to get it verified at a Toyota dealership and they'll then update the info on MyToyota. Guessing there'll be more benefits to when it verifies your car on that website, as it says "Verification Pending" on the car section at the moment. Could have been working for some time now. Just to let you know
  5. Doesn't rev high enough?! It revs to 8,250 already and you want another 800rpm?!! And it's only the standard 16" rims that had a bad lacquer job, yours should have been fine. Leather seems fine, nice and taught. And the 190bhp figure is hit and miss. There's a guy on here who's only mods are something like an SRI and good oil and he had 192bhp on a rolling road. And yes some people (most likely Dublet) are going to reply with "Ohhh yes but rolling roads can't always be trusted and it depends on if it was from the flywheel or from the wheels and blah blah blah". Honestly? You really sound like you don't enjoy your car.
  6. Actually, that's a good point Carla. With these drilled & grooved discs, they squealed a lot with Mintex pads. Since putting Apec ones in instead, they're completely silent. Forgot about that - I thought it was dirt at the time.
  7. There'll honestly be hardly any difference unless you're torturing them on a track bud Like I said I've got drilled and grooved and I can't hear a thing when breaking. No squealing or ticking.
  8. I've got drilled and grooved and mine don't make any noise? Didn't think of that, very true!
  9. Maybe not, but if you're in need of new discs, you may as well as they give a much better appearance behind the wheel than a solid disc. That's primarily why I had mine drilled and grooved. I won't be tracking this for some time so it's just fast road use. My discs were shot, so while ordering new MTEC discs I just had them drilled and grooved to look better, and I don't think anyone can disagree on that. They look far better. Sorry you can see the discs better in my other photos, but that one's a better picture overall. In terms of which you should go for though, grooved or dimpled & grooved will be personal preference. I had drilled but I heard that drilled discs are weaker as there's less material due to being drilled thus making weak spots, but I'm not being funny; you'd have to be absolutely hammering them on a track over and over again to cause that kind of damage. So in other words, it's just personal preference
  10. I'll put a few coats of lacquer on the metal before I fit it in that case.
  11. Short Ram Intake, by Direnza - £60 delivered, new.
  12. I actually live in the Rhondda, by the Bwlch and Rhigos mountains - I work in Penarth, but most people on here know Cardiff rather than Penarth or Rhondda. So Swansea and Cardiff are identical in terms of time
  13. I forgot to tell you guys this. I walked into Toyota World Cardiff, asking for flange bolts which we all know as lift bolts. This is how the conversation went. ________________________ Him: "Hi can I help?" Me: "Yeah umm, just came in to order some flange bolts for a Toyota Celica T-Sport?" Him: "Celica T-Sport. Hmm, that's the one with the engine in the back, isn't it?" Me: "No. It's in the front." *I point to my car outside* Him: "Oh?" *He stares at my car* "But it's rear wheel drive, isn't it?" Me: "Last time I checked it wasn't, no." Him: *"Oh okay. I'll be one second. Flange bolts you said?" Me: "Yeah or 'lift' bolts, for the VVTL-i engine." Him: "...lift?" Me: "They're bolts for the engine internals. They operate the lift feature on the T-Sport Celica and Corolla." Him: *blank stare* Me: "Look shall I just give you a part number?" Him: "Yes please that would be great." ...I have no words.
  14. Also had a full set of discs and pads from Freaky Parts. Outstanding service
  15. Mine did in the rain too, surface rust began to appear. Just paint them with heat-resistant silver and it'll match the rest and will never rust.
