Ok here's the story... A few years ago I used to work at bentleys citreon/toyota dealership in Warrington, where i used to park I used to always see this faded white import gen 6 sat on someone's drive looking very sorry for itself so I spoke to the guy and his wife who owned it and at the time she loved it and had no intention of selling so I would just look at it every day loving the colour.. Today on my way back from a roller skate at Warrington I decided to stop by at their house and see if she wanted to sell it as it looked like it hadnt been used for a while and with the intention of offering her a couple of hundred quid to take it as it is but........... When I saw the look in her eyes and saw how much she still loves the car I couldn't do it so instead I offered to help do the car up i.e a dam good clean and polish of the bodywork, a good valet inside and an engine bay spruce up. things I've told her she needs to buy and I will fit is a new rad, new plugs, leads dizzy cap and rotor arm, rear tyres, red toyota anti freeze...and we'll there is a small list of repairs that need doing but nothing massive tbh, the drivers front wing is creased and rusted on the edge about a foot long, There is a small crease on the lower drivers rear quarter. Spider webbed corners of the rear bumper edge. Rear 3 post spoiler need removing so I can polish out the crap underneath it. Rear boot plastics need sorting aswel as 2 new parcel shelf clips. The hanging rear fog light needs binning and I can wire the fog into the rear lights. Speedo needs converting from kmh to mph with the converter chip then the speedo counter adjusting. I can't believe I didn't offer her money but I do love these cars and this one has the original 15in alloys, door tweeters, good ish paint, jdm rear lights and the lovely 3sfe but with abs. My car does needs jobs doing but I feel I can relish in this opportunity to help and restore another celica lovers car There is a couple of things I need to source for her and the first being a new rad. It's a light brown colour and I've warned her if she starts it be aware it may pop at anytime. I will add more to this soon but for now I thought I would share my day with u

I got the impression he was going to be awkward from the first message your right though and yes he is just trying to weadle out of it, I've asked for part numbers on the green 6 section so I can present them to him although eBay is dating that I'm outside the settlers returns time. Think my only option may be to bring the 2 strut to hub holes forward so as to straighten the wheels up.

Can someone please supply me with the separate part numbers for an st182 rear strut/shock absorber and an st202 rear strut both non superstrut as the cock I bought the rear strut's of on eBay thinks that they are both the same but as Chris and ant have told me they are different. Thanx. M.I.B.

My car is an St202 and had the McPherson strut suspension. I had a professional garage local to me fit them and upon a side by side comparison they look almost identical but it's the 2 holes that connect the strut to the hub that are different by only a few mm. This is because the rear strut for the model before mine known as the st182 had the almost identical rear strut's but the holes are a few mm further back and that is the struts you have sent me. The only way you can verify this for yourself is to get an St182 and an St 202 both rear McPherson struts side by side and then measure the distance of the 2 holes that connect the strut to hub and you will see there is a few mm difference which had caused my rear wheels to have 5cm negative camber both sides. Last message from them to which I've not responded yet. DEAR CUSTOMER, Thanks for te information, frist of all because f the same reason we dont sell it for ST182....Even ST202 get camber after fitting these shocks.... it is universally recommended by toyota to do professional wheel alignment after fitting these rear shocks...it is common with these celica's...otherwwise it gives camber or caster. read below: http://yospeed.com/wheel-alignment-explained-camber-caster-toe/ (just information) i hope your mechanic fitted these shocks while car was on ramp....which plays imortant role in getting camber as well. (we never recommend to have DIY JOBS AND DIY MECHANICS...sorry as mostly they dont tell customer to MUST DO WHEEL ALIGNMENT AFTER FITTING THESE REAR SHOCKS) thanks for information..

Ah right bugger ok, so would I be ok to leave the 182 struts on then as the car looks pretty much level and rides good not bumpy and nothing is knocking apart from the bleedin parcel shelf? Cheers guys for the input and knowledge ☺

Ok so just measured properly and the top of both wheels from the outer most part of the tyre to the outer of the wing is 5cm each side.Not quite the 4 inches I guestimated.
