For quickness and cheapness I have decided just to drop another 7afe back in the car is in to good condition to break or scrap so get the use out it for another summer and then get a gt4 for next summer

The engine did over heat once a few weeks ago and last night there was a lot of pressure building up in the radiator when trying to start and then when I released the pressure there was a strong smell of exhaust fumes and when trying to start it with rad cap off all the pours out is smoke the exhaust was giving off a lot of grey white smoke so so that's why I have put it down to head gasket the plan now is a 2.0 gt engine

Ok so today after work I tried to start the car and nothing after a few tests and head scratching the conclusion is head gasket has gone but with the car meaning to much to myself and the Mrs the option of breaking or scrapping isn't there which means it's now getting made into a project and the 7afe lump is being ripped out and replaced with a younger healthier engine. So as of now the car is a project and money depending on when it sees a road again

Noticed the other night that my temp gauge never went up to the normal half way after about a 20 mile drive although warm air was coming out the vents so stopped at a petrol station checked coolant level.. It was ok blead it for a while and set of again and done the same thing. Been sitting in the car running idle and it's picked up temp to half way and fans blowing hot but 5 mins into driving it's went back down ?? Any ideas and is it a big problem ?

Going to be putting lowering springs on the celica and the question is when I take off the suspension will I have to replace anything like anti roll bars or ball joints like you would in a vauxhall (all my cars have been vauxhall in the past) or is it as simple as a few bolts and it slips out would rather do it myself instead of going to a garage as I have big trust issues with garages also very loud squealing coming from front when car is stopped and through cornering I know it's the power steering but what would come first for the change belt or pump ??

Found out why battery died. Today taking shopping out the boot I noticed all my dash lights and fans were on... thinking shit left the keys in and ignition on so reached in to get keys and no keys there they were in my pocket :/ so ignition does not switch off all the time any1 had this problem ??

Went to start the car there and nothing battery was dead. Would the alternator trigger the warning light and as for the scanners will the cheap ones off eBay work good

The other day a engine warning light came up solid orange (not sure if it goes red if problem serious) no power loss but when I turned engine off it never came back this was about 3-4 days ago and tonight same thing again solid orange engine light came on and once car turned off and back on it disappears done about 6 miles and never came back. Any ideas what it could be before I start digging around engine and spending money on things it might not be. Thanks in advance

It's sitting high because the bolts are on the spoiler and yes lol its of 1 those Honda things lol its off my old accord I seen it lying in the shed and thought it might fit just want to see if it will look good and what people think before it goes on
