  1. I've heard some horror stories about couriers causing damage but to dent 2 wheel rims is gonna take some force. If i were you i'd contact ebay and inform them of the situation and sellers offer. I wouldn't be happy with any less than all repair costs or a full refund. Don't fancy your chances of getting return postage covered though
  2. Ouch Truth hurts To be fair, it was probably priced right when he put the ad up
  3. Looks awesome mate, the 6 looks so mean when kitted. Needs lowering a touch though
  4. Man i'm gutted for ya, as you say could have left a note at least. hope your mate can sort it for ya. Have you got a mod thread or any other pics of your car as from you profile pic it looks amazing
  5. Glad you got the new owner to join up, can't miss out on a club this good Gotta say if i hadn't just bought George back, i'd have bought the ssiii in a heatbeat. Love the colour and Superstrut is awsome
  6. A bit of Google searching later it appears all gen 6 outer joints are indeed the same, apart from abs or non. So i've ordered the cheapest on ebay, under £19 including p&p for joint, boot, ties and grease with a 2 year guarantee
  7. So will this one listed for 1.8 upto 99 fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-CELICA-1-8-DRIVESHAFT-CV-JOINT-BOOT-KIT-95-99-/130832429218?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e763870a2
  8. The n/s cv joint is creaking, only when cold but figure it's time to replace it. Thing is there seems to be a few different ones and a large variation in price. I know i need one for abs, but can anyone tell me how many Internal or external splines i'm gonna need? And does this look ok? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-CELICA-1-8-2-0-1989-1999-OUTER-CV-JOINT-/200673045692?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eb90bacbc
  9. I'm sure some zoo's have parrots ;-) Let's get the thread moving again.
  10. Insurance companies are a rule unto themselves, would guess your car books arond £500 Repair costs are worked out on new costs, spoiler plus paint gotta be close to £500 mark, slight crease or paint crack on the boot lid and your in write off teritory. Most insurance companies give 2 offers slightly more cash but car recorded or a little less and no record. Either way you should be offered to purchase the car back. Personally i'd rather just get a good nick black spoiler from one of the breakers on here (briano) if he got one ;-) If not try putting breaking celica into an ebay search. Oh and lastly Good man :-) 3 POSTS RULE!
  11. Happy Anniversary GTsillycar!

  12. I've used a few dent magician's in my time BUT! I assure you won't find better than Jon Dodd 07973 308847 It maybe worth seeing if we could get a group buy off him, I know i got a few dings in my Eunos roadster
  13. And still looking the nuts, you really should get that motor along to a meet
  14. I belive the earlier rev 3sgte's had different conectors on the dizzy caps. Switched from male to female or something.
  15. If it weren't for the fact this car is costing me so much each month, i'd get the best leads. Thing is the 5mm leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm can be had for just under £100 from fensport.
  16. I got 138k on the faff, but my previous gt clocked 150k and purred like a pussy cat
  17. My faff has become a little hessitant on acceleration I tried changing the plugs but made no difference. In fact after about 1500 miles on standard coppers it started to drop a little low on tick over even cut out a few times. I put the old platinums back in and that improved a little. Was thinking to change the dizzy cap, rotor arm and leads as they all look a little tired. Thing is i don't wanna throw money at bits if i don't have to, plus got other bits i wanna buy. Cap and rotor arm i don't mind doing for the peace of mind but leads seem a bit pricey So if the leads are letting it down a little how can i tell? or do i just have to put my hand in my pocket AGAIN  Lastly anyone suggest a set of leads? Seen these http://www.ebay.co.u...=item359ab7c465 And these http://www.ebay.co.u...=item359ab7c465 Can't see how these can fit all revs when caps are different Just found these, look a good price for Magnecor http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_19/Category_1/1332
  18. I had a go with the green thing think it jml. Covers scratches that you could cut out for real with a little compound. Rubbish for my white car but worked on the light metalic blue mondeo at work.
  19. Original stickers go on the outside then each time you wash the car you pull a bit off. If you want some for the inside of the window then pm Mook on here, He can make them any colour you want too.
  20. Buy a bmw 1 series Diesel, soooo quiet. And lovely to drive.
  21. it's all down to service, if it's been properly maintained then no reason why it won't do 500,000 miles or more. Other plus side to driving a gen 6 gt is if the very worst happens and it goes pop, you can get an engine for peanuts.
