Wouldn't even consider it mate. Linwood toyota quoted me over a grand to supply and fit a fuel tank so they can bugger off if they think I'll ever let them near mine. I change my oil myself and am planning on learning to do everything else myself e.g change brake fluid and coolant etc. I drive an oil burner though so I kinda had to do it myself

sounds like you've been getting a draft mate. I've a nice 2 mile dual carriageway on the way home has a roundabout at the start so you get to cane it from bout 20mph. I've been surprised how much faster I can go behind somebody. Having the car limited the way you do must be a real pain in the.... Surely a gen 6 GT starts properly kicking in after 80-100? My SR gets pumped in a straight line after 80

oh, 1 wee caveat on gumtree. Put your price above what you want to start with, I know this sounds good sense but first thing you will get is loads of offers. Also, never go out your way for somebody on gumtree (sorry if that sounds bad) it's a really bad site for people not turning up. I had about 3 occasions were folk didn't turn up one of wich I went out my way for. But I can assure you if you stick at it you will be rewarded

Gumtrees good mate even I'm surprised. I put my motorbike on glasgow and had lots of interest, I now have a guy coming from wales at the weekend to buy said bike. Make sure you put in an area that has lots of folk looking. to do this when it asks your location put in the nearest big town in rather than your postcode (sure this is a selectable option at that point) when I put in my postcode it wanted to list in gumtree falkirk wich isn't hugely popular. so I changed it to glasgow and it got plenty of views etc. Im on gumtree all the time looking it does seem to be very popular and tbh I don't think I'd sell any vehicle on ebay. they take a cut and it just doesn't seem to be as popular for adverts these days Hope this helps

I changed mine and the filter at the weekend. Bit puzzled though, my dipstick basically read zero and I pulled out about 2.5l of oil not sure what the minimum was thought it was 2l. I'm back on 15 40 I think 10 30 is too thin and was a mistake on my part but struggled to find 10 40. It feels a bit smoother and less restricted again and was getting passed 100 in 4th a lot easier coming up the dual dragstrip (wich is uphill) Only really managed the speeds I got on sunday with a tow so I'm a happy bunny

I've only ever seen folk talk about it on here never seen anybody go through with it. Been given the go ahead to stick an engine in the workshop thanks to my old man so I'm seriously considering buying a 7afe and an engine stand and going from there. If I balls it up it's no major issue I can just put it in the bin. Could at least see wht the head issue is with the spare engine mibby give it a port and polish. I've saw stuff elsewhere regarding the issue. Seen folk suggesting that you put brake fluid in it (I kid you not) I know some folk have tried diesel. not sure exactly what they say the issue is but apparently it needs releasing whatever it is!

Ouch litre every 2-300?! I'd be spending a fortune in oil if it was that bad. AMS- Do you think the 4AGE is a good way to sort this? I'm putting some serious consideration to that idea as I've been given room in the garage 4age head that is (7age)

good stuff, halfords will do you an oil filter 4 6 quid if that helps. How much oil you burning?
