Thanks Mick Got my lad to go to the flat and get the new log book number for me. Car now taxed Mate keeping the car in his lock-up for 3 months. Defy back for good on 1st April, so can enjoy the car from then on

Maybe a daft question. (and in the wrong section). Took delivery of a Gen 5 when at home over the festive season. Trying to tax the car online. Is the reference on the V5C (red bit) and V5C/2 (green bit) the same? Back out in Qatar now and don't have access to the V5C/2 to check reference.
